Starbucks CEO asking patrons to leave guns at home

...
People want to defend themselves because they want to take matters into their hands if necessary. There's no real reason to construct and use weapons because all they do is continue the cycle of hatred, violence, sadness, and murder. Think about how people obtained weapons legally and turned into criminals. The people who construct weapons and use them are inventors of evil things. Too many people spend time and money on weapons when there are better things to invest their time in.
...

There is a legit reason to construct weapons, defense. They do not continue any cycle, the cycle of hatred and violence started with bare hands long before anyone built anything. In fact they often end violence. Shoot a home invader end the violence and protect your family.

Obtaining a weapon does not turn anyone into a criminal their action does.

Inventors of weapons are often horrified when they are used for evil. Many inventors are driven to build so they can protect their people. Many inventions such as the car where not even designed to kill but can be used to do so.

Yes, I agree with you.

If you live in woods with dangerous animals like bears, cougars, so you need gun to kill them, unlike spiders that can killed with feet only.

Arrows or spears can kill them, too. No guns needed.

So, I didn't get an answer from Starbuck's CEO concerning my rope dart :(

I am going to ask him if my blow gun is ok. I use poisoned darts. Do you think he will say no?

I grew up in the same world as you did because after all, humans are born and raised on Earth. So the appropriate word would be perhaps be environment. If your avatar is a picture of you then there's not any indication that you are Japanese, but Japanese people can be really intelligent.

People underestimate the spoon (pun intended)!

:laugh2::laugh2::laugh2::laugh2:

Omg, sorry I had to laugh at the fact you said, think about all the people who obtained guns legally and turned into criminals... :laugh2: Like, the gun took them over and was like "You shall do my bidding and muuuuuuurrrrrrddddddeeeeeeeerrrrrrrr." :laugh2: I'm going to be stuck on that one forever. I spent $350 on my gun, and I really don't invest a lot of time in it to be honest... It's pretty content just chillin' out by itself..... We have a mutual understanding that we both need a great deal of "alone time."

It is just the second amendment. I'll just leave it at that.

The government continues to create laws as "solutions" to problems of today's society, but unfortunately, they are not solving these problems. For instance, the government has created many gun control laws, but this still doesn't altogether prevent murders from happening. The problem is not with laws, but rather the home because parents these days are not raising their children properly. There are many children watching too much TV and playing violent video games. These children create a misconception that people have more than one life to live or that it is cool to carry around lethal weapons. Not too long ago, there were a bunch of teenagers who shot a man to death because they were bored! Children these days do not have respect for the sanctity of life.

Again, here he goes picking and choosing what he likes and doesn't like. He supports most of the bill of rights ( that wasn't made by real Christians ) Just doesn't like the one law that gives us a right to protect ourselves.

Regardless if we were to make guns completely illegal, they'd still be around. Drugs are illegal, but they're still everywhere now aren't they? You think the same wouldn't apply to firearms? *smh*

Another thing, violent video games? Really? You REALLY think that's even a MEASURABLE bit of the cause of these people or kids running around committing crimes? I think you have a lot of maturing and growing up to do. I played games like mortal combat and Killer Instinct ( Super Nintendo beast mode! ) When I was a kid. Anyone who has played Killer instinct knows it was the BLOODIEST, GORIEST and yet sexually insinuative game known at the time it was released! You could flash your opponent and his head would explode for crying out loud! ( Orchid one of my favorites :D ) When you died, what happened? You came back to life! Now, that being said, did me, or any of the TONS of kids I knew that played that game ever go out and kill anyone? No. And the one that makes me laugh the hardest, did we think we had multiple "freemen" lives and that when we died we'd come popping back up ready to kick a** and chew bubblegum? NO! This video game thing always cracks me up when I hear people throw it in an argument because the people that use it as an excuse have either A) Never played one of these games for a decent period of time to have fun with it or B) Are too prudish to attempt to play one. I suppose there could be a C) Some people just don't like gaming but BLASPHEMY ON YOU! :P Anyway, you get the general point. Now, do I believe every parent has the right to let their kids play these games or not play them? ABSOLUTELY! But they are THEIR kids, and raised how they please. It's within every parents right to think those games are too violent for their children, it is also in their right to allow them to see as much blood and guts as they want! My point being, games don't make kids think they have multiple lives, and stupid crap like that. Seriously, I pretended I was a power Ranger all through when I was a kid ( fighting was their thing ) and did I ever or every other freaking kid in existence that pretended power rangers go punch each other? Pffffft, NO! Not saying it couldn't happen, but I sincerely doubt that was their intention.

Yes, there was a group of kids that shot a man because they were bored. Yes, it happened.... yes, it was tragic. I SINCERELY doubt it was because they played too many violent video games. Being there were 3 of them I believe it was, they were influenced as young minds are. They got in with the wrong crowd. Some kids ( and people ) have mental disorders that cause them to become, well.... off. If this goes untreated, and you get a group of people around this person, and this person is popular because they're attractive, or smart or whatever... people.... will.... follow. You get a kid who's picked on and exiled from the rest of the children, and he groups up with the rest who are picked on and he's a leader type... they... will.... follow....

There are TONS of reasons people do the terrible things they do! Mental disorders, bullying, Too much freaking pressure they just SNAP!, out-casted, trying to fit in.... I could go on and on and on. Yes, there are some bad parents out there, but not NEARLY as many to account for the crimes that occur. Not every criminal was raised by bad parents.... period. Some kids of bad parents turn out PHENOMENAL! Some kids of great parents turn out TERRIBLE! People commit crimes for various reasons as well. There are various different crimes! There are so many factors that play into different crimes it's IMPOSSIBLE to pin point what EXACTLY causes the majority of people to do what they do! Just as we humans are individuals and act, behave and prefer different things, our actions are the same! Unique to each individual and must be evaluated as such!

You know, I'm not even sure me writing this is any good, probably a complete and utter waste of my time.... because you have this "holier than thou" attitude that I see posted again and again, and anywhere you post goes from people having calm, logic, informational debates to you PI***NG EVERYONE OFF and GETTING THE THREADS LOCKED! If I could curse here, I would have. Sorry, you may not pee in everyone's cereal, but it sure seems like it, and you DEFINITELY PI** me off. You think you're some freaking holy muffin to spread peace love and tolerance? eh? YOU FAIL! Sorry, I can't reason with anyone who believes those chicks were at fault for catching a terrible disease. How absolutely terrible is that of you? Incredibly!

God, I feel a little better now..... fantastic! :D

Did you get one of the well mannered and polite ones?

You know, when I went to pick mine out - I wanted to be sure it would stay in the holster and not randomly jump out and run across the street to rob a liquor store. So far, I have been really lucky - my gun is very well behaved.

:giggle:
