i watch start treck early hours of this morning, they had deaf guy he was acting with bsl what good actor, his acting overode his deafness or should say incorperated it natrally.the plot line sort of set around communication and how he saved a planet. it was written sensitivly without being ott.even if not trekki it well worth watching...forgot his name

oops sorry meant he was using asl,but that was not important asl/bsl it was the signing and easy to pick up even if not a signer

it's funny that Data referred Riva's (deaf character) form of signing as "Gestural Language" and was attempting to learn it from computer since Riva's interpreters were vaporized.

Oh cool. I keep forgetting about this one. This guy looks very familiar that i forget his name.

data would not have said asl you got be up on s.t cos by then on earth deafness would been thing of past...anyhow why asl,it international ship america britain would not exist we just be earth citizens.....i take star treck seruiusly

I remember this episode. I saw part of the episode years ago, but finally watched the whole thing several years back when I decided to watch every episode of the entire Star Trek series. :)

This is one of those interesting episodes that got my attention. :)
