I am very interested if any AD members are into collecting any types of Sports Cards. I collected a ton from 1988-1993, and have just been very passive with collecting, just here and there. I was all into baseball cards until 2002 when I began collecting basketbal cards almost exclusively then until about 1997. In the last 10 years I will purchase maybe 10 packages of cards a year to see what their appearence is. I also have a bunch of sports memorabilia and autografts. I actually have ben contemplating returning to sport cards collecting (baseball and basket)

Who is your favorite player and sport to collect and how extensive of a collection of sports cards and/or memorabilia. Please share with us as I am very curious with what you all have! Thanks Guys

I was used collect many sports cards when I was little boy, now not anymore and if u wanna some cards from mine and I am willing to sell some, let me know

I used collecting sport cards (Most of them - hockey) until stopped by late 1990's when the card companies gone foolish price on subset cards. Half of them gone bankrupt Pro Set Ultra and Leaf that lost my interesting.

I likes game wear cards more than any common cards...still $$$. I has a prize card Tom Brady gamewear jersey with 3 colors numbers (top piece 2 of #12).

Many of my cards end up into ebay bidders hands.

My collectibles :

- Wheaties boxes with sport team champions. Bulls (all three peats), Lakers, Twins, NY Giants, Cowboys, World Cup USA women soccer, Olympics Gold Medalers and short ago I brought NBA champion Celtics Wheaties box after WNBA's Phoenix. I knows I has more somewhere.

- Coke bottles champions - Texas, Ohio States, UF, Fla St (NCAA Football) NHL - Ava, Red Wings, Lightning. MBL - Red Sox and Yankees. NASCAR Coke family, Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart. Still waiting for Celtics bottles or cans and more.

- Mini goalie masks - all World Cup of Hockey teams with limited edition #, Mike Richters, Roy, Broduer, and forgot few names.

- Sport Illusrrated Commective Issue : Cal Ripken Jr. Sport team champions - NY Giants, Patriots, lakers, Bulls, Celtics, Red Sox, Wayne Gretzky and more.

- Comic : Usagi Yojimbo, Groo The Wanderers and Teengae Mutant Ninja Turtles (I has every one of them since 1985). Limited Edition # and signed. Hologram covers. More than 2000 comics.

- Hard Rock Cafe : matches and coastes wherever I went in there.

I knows I has more ones somewhere that sitting there past 20 years.

Right now, I am conituning to collect different art can of Pepsi (25 cans and coming up more) and Mountain Dew art bottle (15 bottles and more coming up more). Still seeking for limited edition stuffs like mail offer where not sell at the store anywhere or "hard to find" stuffs.

I am buying many 6 packs of champion team for ebay where happy bidders don't have them in their locals. It pay my debts pretty good like brought 6 pack bottles of Coke' World Series champion for juts $3.99 and end up $10 -$15 a bottle to hungry bidders....that gave me $40+ after S/H. I thought I could never working again but not want to spend half of my life on computer.

I do collect sports cards... mostly hockey cards.. I still have some baseball cards and am willing to part with some of them for extra hockey cards to fill my sets if I can...

I lost all of my sport cards when I was ten yrs old and moved to new place.

Hey Doug, how many in total you got in baseball cards? We do collect baseball cards and football. We have over 13,000 baseball cards that goes way back from the 70's till now--all are in mint condition except for the 70's baseball cards. And close to 3,000 in football and wrestling cards. And basketball too, but not as many as those football and wrestling collections. We do have 5 wrestling cards in unopen box from the 90's and '91 and also proset football cards, unopened from 1990's and '91.

My son is collecting baseball cards also and we didnt count his. He got some great cards are worth something that we dont have, heh heh... He also collect football cards. He does want to start wrestling card since he started to like wrestling. He collects hot wheel matchbox as well, unopened. He has collection since 1996.

We are gonna buy a huge plastic tote of baseball and football cards from my ex husband for a good deal since they need to get rid of many stuffs in their house. His wife bought it in auction few years ago. They are no sport fanitics like we are and they only collect hot wheels matchbox cars. My ex husband said it is ours if we want it. I told him I feel better if we buy from them that will make us feel better, he said ok and name a price. Just never know what we will find in that box. :naughty: He has several unopened Topps from the 90's, a very few in the 80's in wrappers.

If you don't mind, I would like to add...We also do collect other things than any sport cards as well. I do collect Patriots items as well, like he did with Green Bay (but now it is the Jets) and we both collect many Red Sox since we are Red Sox's fans, even in shirts and jersey's...I do collect American flags and all in red, white and blue. He loves to collect coco cola...we have so many to name...

We do have pretty much of game wear cards :naughty: And Manny Ramiez's bat card (not sure what you call that kind of card-I will check later.)

Do you collect beer bottles. I know a friend that does collect beer bottles or cans, even sodas. All are unopened. He said he drill a hole in the bottom of the cans, so it wont explode due to the cold or heat. He doesn't open any bottles. Leave 'em be. Do you do that too, drill a hole in the bottom of pepsi cans?

I used to collect baseball and football cards between 1988 and 1994. (I don't remember the exact years.) I ended up with A LOT of cards. I do have a few good cards that are worth some money, but I have one card that I was proud to get... but now hate. It's the Bo Jackson Football-Baseball card. It originally cost a lot of money, but it bombed when he got hurt.

Now, I will collect a few non-sports cards if I feel like it. I've got the whole "Meanie Babies" collection. ;)

- Tazos (all series - Mum was not TOO happy about forking out for a bag of chips every week LOL).
- Neopets cards
- Pokemon cards
- Stamps from all over the word (I still have a stamp book... hmm I should get back into it).
