How can doctor guarantee this future baby is deaf? Will the Mother happy to keep a hearing baby?
 
(Old joke)...a sperm bank is the only kind of bank where you don't earn interest on your, ahem....., deposit. LOL!

Actually, i do know one deaf person who donated sperm and they did accept his.. and his deafness is genetic.. =x

Why is it wrong? Billions of people have been making "designer babies" since before the dawn of recorded history. Even animals do it. Selective mating is just a natural component of the reproductive process.

That is quite simply astonishing. Can you give us more details? Did this sperm bank actually solicit sperm from a congenitally deaf man in order to market it for the purpose of producing deaf children? What is the name of this sperm bank and where is it located?

I don't know, he told me he donated while in college, so I have no idea where or what the name of it is, If you want to know, I'll ask
 
I think that one small reason for this is that it could lead to becoming a fetish. Some people have fetishes for short people, midgets, or dwarves. Some people have fetishes for people without arms or limbs. Some people have fetishes for people with no eyes. This could lead to people having fetishes for deaf people.
 
Yeah, people being born in alot of strange ways...mostly from bad health like smoking, drinking, etc or sometimes genes error...

sometimes when a couple have different blood types, it's possible that a chormones can be missing in the genes...if you remember most of that from science and biology, then you are okay ;)
 
don't need to buy "deaf" sperm. You can ask anyone who is deaf and ask for donate their sperm without have laid. So, that seem be harmless. Plus, you have to make agree if "mate" will support or not. :smash:

My friend´s husband Gerald have 5 deaf children with his 1st wife.
My friend Mary have 2 grown hearing children with her previous partner.
Mary got pregnant unexpectly so they went to hosptail for genes test. The doctor confirmed that the unborn baby might be deaf accord Gerald´s deaf
generation. His confirmation is correct because they have 3 years old deaf daughter. They went to hospitail again for check but the doctor´s confirm
stay the same. They are thinking about have other siblings to accompany their daughter.
The doctors can confirm through genes that they are deaf or not.
I think doctors only accept the healthy sperm donators after examined them.
For hearing world, the deafies belong to disabled.

I think you should check with any Deafie with their deaf generations if you are still interesting to have deaf sperm...
I myself never heard about deaf sperm bank... I don´t think the doctors would like it.
