Someone made a huge accusation against me

So...sis in law just expressed to my friend over the phone that she just felt insulted when she saw me using a term 'hearie' on Facebook posts. I was like puzzled to her reaction. I had no clue that she was offended by that term I used? .

None of my business and all that, but I just thought I'd share that as a hearie with only one deaf friend, and she's not very outspoken- I had never heard the term until I started reading here.

And yes, the first ten times I saw it, I was shocked. I thought it was really rude. It's kind of a slang word, and I usually do not use slang words to refer to other groups. Fortunately, I kept my mouth shut and just kept reading, and that is how I learned that deaf people use the words hearie and deafie and it's not rude, it's not like saying 'retard' or 'Jap', which is how it seemed to me at first.

Yes, many times. Problem is: He doesn't have any real-world, viable, useful solutions. In fact, his hatred makes things worse; so much so that the national leaders steer clear of him or pacify him in some way to try to make him not so large a Web presence.

That is your personal opinion of him. I don't have any problem with him....most of his statements make sense to me. I know it is not easy to take that kind of action.....some deaf people are very stubborn. But thanks to AG bell who ruined everything in the deaf community. Shrugs

By the way, he had been thru real world....wasnt he used to work as a truck driver?

You didn't quote me wholly but that's okay. Real-world deaf issues and truck driving......hmmmmm, not nearly the same thing but ok and I don't know if he used to be a trucker.
