Haha, I'm taking the Bronx to GWB, then I have to go to a small town not exactly accessible by bus.

All major routes to Bronx should be closed. It's always the culprit of major traffic jams. Alternative route is to go thru Lincoln Tunnel and then go north on either turnpike or River Road

The best time to drive on it is just before noon and after 1 before 3. It's pretty empty and smooth sailing.

I've driven that route so many times. Probably 80 times already. Or more.
