It infuriates me to see parents harming or killing their own children. What happened to this society lately?




Man Charged With Suffocating His Two Kids


ST. LOUIS (AP) - A father was charged with murder Tuesday for allegedly suffocating his two toddlers on a muddy bank of the Mississippi River the day before, authorities said.

Anthony Moore was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and was being held on $3 million bail.

Moore, 25, is accused of killing 2-year-old Toni Moore and her half brother, 10-month-old Kanya Anderson. Police said the children had the same father but different mothers.

``Both children died as a result of suffocation, and both the children had injuries consistent with being pushed down and held down in the mud,'' St. Louis Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce said.

The father remained in police custody Tuesday, after being hospitalized Monday for psychiatric observation.

The toddlers were found Monday afternoon next to Moore's car, which was parked on a boat ramp at North Riverfront Park. A muddy Moore was picked up by police shortly afterward outside a relative's home.

Authorities said they did not yet know if Moore had a lawyer.
 
Jeez... what the hell has gotten into these people? It seems like more of us are getting crazier and crazier! :crazy:
 
Yeah, that is how the world is coming to these days. :( Especially those people who are hellbent on lying their way out of a situation and turning their children aganist their mother or father -- using children as pawns in a divorce case and custody fight, etc. :mad:

there are parents out there who would abuse their kids and kill them for ANY reason! such a sad shame i know :(
 
may be reason.. due battle their custody.. or wants $$$ coming from insurance.. due who murder.. otherwise police officer ain't dumb and can be find leads whoever murder..

Dad did murder'em two youngest kids.. Obvouisly Dad is deserved to be belong the behind bar.. *shame'em* Dad is hellbent!

Pointless what Dad really want ???? wanted to be happy no kids?? sickooo!
 
God, I hate it when people do that to their own children, they are nothing but a cold heart azzholes who only cares about themselves! ( forgive my language here )....

Bullymom -- a motive has not been made known as of yet as far as i can tell -- but it could be ANY reason -- custodial disputes, child support disputes or whatever else on top of his losing his job and etc
 
*sigh* More children being victims at the hand of their parents. May the parent or parents who committed such atrocities toward their children go to HELL! :madfawk:

In this case, I hope the Judge will throw the books at him and not let him off on the basis of his mental health.
 
Jealousy, greed, envy and lack of motivation in life itself are some of the big reasons some of these killings take place...it's outrageous!!

I know of a long time friend of mine who I played softball with for many years and after losing touch with him for two years...I had run into him in a mall and after having a lengthy chat and also finding out that he was separated from his wife who was having an affair with another man...I had asked him if he still loved his wife and to which he replied, yes, very much so...I tried to convince him to be positive and turn to praying, etc...and he asked if I would like to check out his apartment which was nearby the mall and I said I would and could see that he still had much to unpack, I stayed very briefly as I had other things to do at the moment...but told him that we'll get together and re-live the old days of softball, etc....

Three days later, I had gotten a phone call from another deaf friend of mine who knew I was a close friend, the call was devastating as this young man had gone berserk and crazy by killing his wife (with a softball bat) and drowning their 8 years old daughter in the toilet...their second daughter, aged 4, he had tossed her in the river to drown her, but somehow she managed to come ashore and was founded by two homeless people nearby who heard her cries...and he was on the loose....I called the police since I had gotten a message on my phone's answering machine...to which he was cussing profusely and not making any sense whatsoever in the message....they caught up with him two days later out on the highway, and he had gotten out of the car quickly holding up what looked like a real gun (turns out to be a water gun) and being shot two times critically...several months later after being treated for his wounds, he was sent to prison and on his first and only day at prison, he hanged himself and died the next day....

I cannot believe how things suddenly turned out on this tragic night and for such a long time, had questions that will never be answered, the feelings of having this long-time friend turned murderer--the thoughts, emotions, etc. that presided in my mind for at least a year or so...times when I wished I had done something or better that could have prevented this traumatized and tragic event! Like I've stated earlier in this post, jealousy is something that can trigger such deplorable acts and it was the case with this man....
