Shooting at Family Research Council HQ

Tony Perkins, the president of Family Research Council, said that Chick-fil-A gave them $1,000.00 a few years back. That is, IMO, a kick-in-the-bucket. If it is true, why is not MM reporting this amount? Does MM have proof Mr.Perkins is telling a lie? If so report it.

That's MM, MM, MM, MM, MM, MM, MM for you.

I don't give a damn about your word - MM.

no. the big question in here is.... why aren't you doing your work to find it? You're the most laziest whiner I've ever seen.

He said the company donated $1,000 to the Family Research Council "a number of years ago" but does not underwrite his group.

let's focus on this terrible tragedy, shall we? not $1,000 donation or Chick-fil-A or Tony Perkins. you are attempting to politicize this tragedy.

I felt guilty because I ate CFA sandwich at university cafe for first time in 2 years and I don't like food anywhere, even no good menu today, even they do have Taco Bell but I'm not in mood for Mexican food.

I used federal grant/scholarship to buy CFA sandwich so I'm not concerned about my real money goes to anti-gay marriage, hello Obama, you should watch out about that. :naughty:

The brave guard kept this from becoming a terrible tragedy.

The interview with Perkins is relevant since his organization was the target of attack.

good. then that's the angle that should be focused on.... not $1,000 donation or MM not reporting it.

Getting back to the topic, I am glad the security guard was able to stop him. This was a very tense situation for me yesterday as I am very good friends with someone who was working there. It was about an hour before we heard any word from her. She was and is still shaken.

I am glad your friend is ok.

The reason I'm not reporting it is because it is not out there. As I said, this $1000
is a kick-in-the-bucket but MM is making a mountain out of a molehill.
You are just like MM when you say I'm attempting to politicize, whereas what I am doing is reporting the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, a concept that is foreign to today's MM. Go find a yo-yo....up/down/up/down/up/down/up/down...calm down

this $1,000 donation is important in this tragedy..... how?

It is 1% important but also 99% of MM reports in such a way that this amount took on many zeros. Getting the truth out there is important to the tragedy because un-ethical reporting led this man to do what he did (IMO).

We don't know what led this guy to do what he did.

Just FYI:

A drop in the bucket = small, insignificant amount of something.

Kick the bucket = to die.

Kick in the seat of the pants = delivering a wake-up call.

Agreed. It was another blatant dig at non-conservatives. The home team fails to see that the refs are blind.

Back to the show!

Nope. It wasn't a "dig", it was an update. I did not add any commentary to that article. It showed a picture of the shooter.

That is all ...

Thank you for this post.

Us old timers also use: kick IN the bucket

What is your explanation of this term?

Same as: DROP I'm the bucket?
