Shameful

Oh the humanity! Pictures of Obama playing golf in post-war Nazi Germany are all the rage these days. How dare these guys insult a dead GOP President? Just because people still talk about Ted Kennedy as a drunken murderer is no reason for these awful men to do this. I am shocked....

Just kidding. While I agree it was juvenile, I doubt it is even close to what you do when you see Obama on TV.

if people want full rights on everything then that means getting same punishments..if i give finger at a gay actvist then all hell be let loose...gay , deaf, disable transgender, black, that think world owes them something it going cause hate..these people have not helped in gay rights and should aplogise even if Regan was not to everyones taste

Reagan helped.

What do I do exactly when I see Obama on TV since you seem to be a mind-reader?

A leader of Log Cabin Republicans, a conservative gay-rights group, criticized the activists for insulting Mr. Reagan.

“It is unfortunate that the image conservative America is seeing today of LGBT people is of gay leftists misbehaving at the White House, rather than the millions of patriotic, decent LGBT citizens, many of whom, like Log Cabin Republicans, hold President Ronald Reagan in high esteem,” Christian Berle, deputy executive director of the group, said in a statement.

“These photographs have hurt our community and make advocating for inclusion and equality more difficult. The participants should be ashamed,” he said.

Well, I recall you won't allow your children to watch, sort of like political porn. I would assume you drop trou and face away from the screen. Something like that. I doubt you show one ounce of respect. I assume also that you try to impress on your offspring just what an awful man he is.

These guys weren't at a public protest--they were guests of President Obama in the White House. There was no justification for them to behave in such a disrespectful way.

This (deleted some) is his job as a parent.

It's called bias and censorship. We're not talking about PG-13 movies here. Imagine going to class and having the same bias as their daddy when they are only, say, 10. Karma would dictate they might go the polar opposite. I know I did. :giggle:

Political porn?

I tell my kids the facts.

Obama is required by the Conservatives to wear thousands of hats, but even you must not expect him to be an usher at the White House.

The whole thing reminds me of the lesbian woman that had her kid ask Bachmann a loaded question during a book signing. As long as those people that don't agree with hard line GOP platform are doing anything other than shutting up and staying indoors, it is always wrong. Yes?

I can imagine. At least I am able to research what someone tells me. I figure the home computer has most websites blocked, unless they have a right-tilt to them. I can see a rebellion....

Absolutely. They were guests. And they got their facts wrong, too.

“Yeah, f– Reagan,” Mr. Hart said. “Ronald Reagan has blood on his hands. The man was in the White House as AIDS exploded, and he was happy to see plenty of gay men and queer people die. He was a murderous fool, and I have no problem saying so. Don’t invite me back. I don’t care.”

Yes some kids do rebel..... But it is a parents job to teach right from wrong and there are plenty of things to point at with Obama that can help teach what is wrong.

The White House did not approve.

"While the White House does not control the conduct of guests at receptions, we certainly expect that all attendees conduct themselves in a respectful manner. Most all do," Shin Inouye, a White House spokesman, said. "These individuals clearly did not. Behavior like this doesn’t belong anywhere, least of all in the White House."

I didn't say anything like that. I said they were his guests. As such, they should have respected the President, the White House, and everything in the White House. They were very rude and disrespectful to him.

No. The two incidents are not related at all. The book signing was a public event. I don't think it was wise of the mom to use her daughter that way but it's not the same thing.

They are his kids and he has the absolute right to raise them as he sees fit and in a decent respectful manner. My kids too were not allowed to watch certain TV shows and many movies. That is my right as a parent. That is what is dreadfully wrong with our society today. Parents allow their kids to do whatever feels good. The future of our country is in their hands. What a shame to behave so badly.

Oh and by the way, karma has nothing to do with anything. Most kids if raised properly may yet rebel but in the end they most usually return to their parents way of thinking and acting.

You know what? I can't stand Obama as a president or a person but if for some reason I was invited to the White House or to meet with President Obama I would at least show him the respect that he is due and the respect for the office and White House. How rude. This guy's foundation or charity should lose all public funding. This is the White House for goodness sake not a gay pride parade or rally in the streets!
