Last night, my hearing dog, Snickers, was attacked at the dog park next to the Minneapolis International Airport by a Boxer, the left tip of her left ear bit off; the owner no where to be seen. I called for the owner, as he/she didn't come running after their dog. I was assaulted by the owner's son after I saw that Snickers retreated to our car, bleeding profusely. This morning, after a late night surgery, she is doing better, but, as a service dog, is out of commission until this thing clears.
I called the police after it happened and about four squads came with red lights and siren on. One cop even got out of his car with his shotgun, so that was reassuring to me that they took this seriously. Pictures were taken by them.
Unfortunately, no one was arrested, as of yet. When I get the police report, I am looking into not only filing assault charges, but also a possible lawsuit against the owner. I'd also like to know how many other times this dog has attacked and injured other dogs.
I thought I'd post this and share with all of my friends here on alldeaf.com.

The owner and his son should have been arrested that night and if their dog have done this to other dogs.. then it should be put to sleep immedity! I hope that your dog are ok. Do you have any injuries?
Because I'm a dog lover.
