Schiavo Case Will Be Used Against Republicans

:gpost: I believe that to be true. I also believe (and, I also hope) that the Schiavo case comes back to bite DeLay on his slimey arse!
I want a piece of DeLay too! Err.. no wait, that sounds totally wrong...

Angel, yep. We cannot afford to be passive about it anymore. Ignore the problem will not make the problem go away. I think it is funny that Bush/DeLay complained that we are 'nosy' about their private/political life and yet they signed the bill to intervene in Schiavo's family matter.

I just don't get it :D but that is totally fun ;D

Of course Steel, I know life isn't fair but this is not what I'm trying to say here or trying to come across point here, I'm trying to say instead of people saying ignore what happened in the past, if we do that, how can we change things in life to make it better so it won't happen to any of us again like it happen to those people.....

That's the main point I'm trying to come across here, you can't expect to say, Oh well life isn't fair, just deal with it? then one day something happen in your life, how are you going to deal it from there?....Are you going to allow the government overrun your life by taking your freedom away and not respecting your rights? or the decision you make in your life? etc?...How are you going to stop them when the laws say they could do it whether we like it or not...

Yes, Angel I do remember that story his name is Elian Gonzalez whom was 5/6 yrs old at that time. The journey began on tube who wasn't harm no scratches, nothing, while others had blisters. The people who worked for the governement found the boy and took the boy to his family Miami relatives. A good mother was just trying to protect her son Elian from the risks and dangerous in Cuba. The Miami's relatives thought that Elian would lead a better life than the one he would have with dad in Cuba, More freedom, than being in dangerous in Cuba. Elian's father lives in a prison, why would anyone in the right mind would put a child with a father that lives in a prison? There is no freedom of speech, freedom to own a property, or freedom of religion. I understand that Elian is the son of the father who lives in Cuba. But, It's about what is right for the child. Since his mother is gone, Her wishes and dreams for her son to America just didn't come true. The worst part of it when Janet Reno (was that her?) ordered to get Elian out of the house from the Miami realtives, They burst in the door with guns.. What the heck was that all about? Sometimes Government aren't using their brains enough. You don't just burst in with guns when children are around? :(

The troops equipped with guns have to use it just in case they get attacked or whatever like that, since there were tons and I mean TONS of protestors trying to block the troops into the house, since he's an illegal alien and all...I want that kid to have freedom too and I wish his father would do something best for his kid, but I guess he was just too selfish and wants him on his side, even though he's in prison in Cuba, which is one of the worst countries on Earth. His mother is dead, but somebody has to listen to the other parent, as long as the parent is still alive and have its rights. In fact, things would proably just get alot worse if he stays in the US any longer, without an american citizen license nor permission from his father's family that he can stay or not, but his father wanted him to be in Cuba with him so there was really no other choice that the US have. We just have to be fair to the rest of the other forgeiners who try to across the boarder without permission or such proof as a green card, etc...the kid did not have any permission nor the green card with him, so he has to be treated like any other illegal aliens and send them back whenever they were from.

I feel bad for that kid, but perhas he could be able to come back to US when he gets a chance...

Another thing, I know it seems wrong for the government and other people to "butt" in the families' business making decisions of whether you live or not but that just depends on the situation.

to be honest, I wouldn't want to live like Schiavo did...because her brain is dead, and she have all those machines hooked up on her to help her breath, be fed by the feeding tube, and monitors checking on her heart, etc...would you like to live that way? with not much freedom to spare? I wouldn't want to live that way if something terrible happened to me. If my heart stopped for afew seconds and then *bam* comes brain damaged...and my brain will never be the same again so I wouldn't want to live that way if I can't even talk or eat or walk, etc...I wouldn't even know what was going on even when my brain is damaged. That's the kind of situation where it makes people have to make very difficult decisions.

First of all, there's a different between brain dead and brain damage, Terri had a brain damage, she was able to make sounds, move her eyes, cry , laugh and etc...

Second of all, she wasn't on NO machines that keeping her alive, she was breathing on her OWN without any use of machines, they only put a feeding tube inside her cause she is unable to move her arms to feed her....

If you want to starve yourself slowly like they did to Terri go ahead that's your life....

:::Sigh:::

I don't want to debate about this anymore, otherwise I'm keep on ranting on and off about this, so anyways hopefully all of us learned something good out of this by making sure we have a living will....That's all I'm going to say on this....
