Personally, I support animal based research because of my mother. After all, without animal research, how can we find cures for terminal illnesses like cancer? We obviously can't experiment on humans because of liability, so how else do you propose that we conduct the research?

And as for the last sentence in your post, that is purely speculation, nothing more.

Since you quoted dreama's post (and bolded text within it), it would be easy for one to assume that your comment was directed at her. If you were making a general statement, you should have clarified that in your post.

Aside from that, I fail to see how your "joke" relates to the bolded text in dreama's post.

Second, I don't care if Palin has a license to kill moose and wolves. It's wrong. Period.

I'm very sorry about your friend who has a brain injury, but that still doesn't change my mind about Palin.

Exactly. Those who oppose animal research have yet tocome up with a viable alternative. Is it more humane to experiment on people, or to allow people to die because we have not experiemented with treatments at all?

I personally dislike the idea that animals are experimented upon and I am hoping that an alternative will be found someday that doesn't involve spraying perfume into the eyes of innocent animals, many of which we would call our companions if we could.
