I hope there nowhere re-topic in thread like here! :D

I don't believe the rapture stuffs what chuch goers or peoples sayings.. they are BULLCRAP!!

In Fact, Many teach that was "Raptured" out before the flood in the days of the Prophet Noah. And because the Lord God took Enouch and Elijah up in the air into heaven with the lord before the flood of Great Tribulation, they will also tell you would be "Rapture" at the church before Great Tribulation. This is not only totally a "theory" of the Pre-Tribulist view but it is not in any way biblical. The Israleites in the days of the Prophet Moses were NOT removed from the earth when the plagues where poured out on Egypt. Lot and his family was not remove from the earth when the angels of the Lord destroyed Sodom and Goramorrah, and neither will "church' be taken out before Great Tribulation. Lets look at some biblical facts of the Prophet Enoch and the Prophet Elijah, that both walk with God, for God took them... This is how old Prophet Enoch and Prophet Elijah would of been when the flood came.... Now if the Lord God "rapture" you before the flood to save him from it, this makes no sense, since there is NO way possible Prophet Enoch and Prophet Elijah would of lived to be thousand years old! Prophet Enoch and Prophet Elijah would not of been here anyways for the flood, they would of died before it ever came to pass, so they would of escaped the flood anyways. So, why did God take Prophet Enoch and Prophet Elijah???.... I would not think the Lord saved me from "flood" that i was not even going to be here during the time it was going to happen. If someone told you of a event prophecy that was going to take place almost 3,000 yrs from now....would you worry about being protected, raptured, or any thought at all about it before it came??? Ofcourse not! You would know you would not be here in another 3,000 yrs, not even in 300 yrs.. There is No way possible the Lord God "raptured" Prophet Enoch and Prophet Elijah because of the flood ...and why do Christians, Preachers, Teachers, & Pastors teach such nonsense is because they are unlearned and unstudied in the Word of God. The Word of God says they are "willing ignorant." Only one thing I need to understand if what you believe to be the truth is different then the Word of God, the Only Truth, then you need to change what you believe to be truth and never change the Word of God. If ONE verse contridicts what you believe then you need to seek more of His Truth. And never believe someone just because they hold a "title" of some sort, check it with the Word of God and see if what they are teaching is true and not something they have learned from someone else and they never took the time to studied to shew thyself approved unto the WORD of God. like "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, The same was in the beginning with God." In John 1:1, 1:14 and 1:2. Remember the "dead know nothing." But one thing I can be for sure about is the Word of God is Truth, and He has given me His Word and I am able to learn all I choose..your Bible is where you last laid it, and you can pick it up anytime and begin your walk with the Lord..May God Bless you abundently in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding through His Word!! "His name is calledThe Word of God." in Rev 19:13 :D

You have some interesting points. I never bother to give any thought about it until you mentioned about it. Frankly, I believe rapture will happen to people who followed Jesus' Words and his liberalism like respect the nature & environment (after all, it is God's creation), not impose their beliefs on other people, who refused to judge others, refuse to support the wars, serve or help the poors, gives the money to poors, etc etc.. That's my belief.

But again, if I remember correctly, christians and other religious groups insist that at 1000 ad and 2000 ad, there will be rapture but nothing happen. So.. it probably will not happen. Frankly, I am not going to sit and wait for it to come up and hit us off. I am going to do what Jesus do or practice what Jesus preach like I stated above... When it happen then it happened.

I like one of your comment: why do Christians, Preachers, Teachers, & Pastors teach such nonsense is because they are unlearned and unstudied in the Word of God. The Word of God says they are "willing ignorant."

That's very good one.

The Rapture of Christians means that they will be taken directly up to heaven without experiencing death. It includes all Christians that are living at that time. That means all people who trust Jesus Christ as Savior will be taken from the earth. Since the Holy Spirit dwells within born-again Christians, He will also leave the earth with them. Without Christians or the Holy Spirit present on earth, there will be no resistance to the influence of Satan and the Anti-Christ. That begins the Tribulation period.

The Bible says it is wrong to try to guess the date that the Rapture will happen. No one knows the date it will happen. That is God's secret.

Frankly, I am not going to sit and wait for it to come up and hit us off.
God never said to just sit and wait. He said to be ready. He wants His people to continue working and serving Him until that day happens.

Reba, what about Paradise ? I try to abbreviate
this whole thing here: I think it means
2nd chance with some experience of death before go

No, I am sorry but there is no second chance after death. Each person must decide to accept Jesus as Savior before he/she dies. After death it is too late.

During the Old Testament times, saved people went to Paradise after death. During the New Testament times, after Jesus' resurrection, (including now), saved people go to Heaven after death. The dead believers in Paradise later joined the dead believers in Heaven.

That is why Jesus told the thief on the cross that he would go to Paradise because that was still the time before Jesus' resurrection.

Just a question, how do a person know what God to believe in? There are a lot of different Gods which would confuse a person very much so. How do you suggest that the person find the right God to believe in?

Here I go again.

I love reading the "Left Behind Series." It is my best novel book ever I read. It explains how the world will be like after rapture had occur. OFC, it is ficition story. The story is ficition but they use bible's quotes.

Important notes: History Channel Special to Feature LaHaye
Tim LaHaye will be included in a two-hour History Channel prime-time special on Armageddon. The special is set to air Sunday. The Left Behind series is used as an example of the ongoing, widespread interest in apocalyptic issues. Check local listings for time and channel. from www.leftbehind.com

why rapture? http://www.rapturechrist.com/whyrapture.htm
Reason of Rapture http://www.rapturechrist.com/reasonsfortherapture.htm
False of Rapture http://www.rapturechrist.com/false_rapture.htm

Info that I found on http://www.rapturechrist.com/ and I have to read it whole thing to explain you very clear.

Matthew 24:36-44
The Day and Hour Unknown

36“No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[a] but only the Father. 37As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

42“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

Dp you want to know the describes of end time?

Mathew 24:1-35

Signs of the End of the Age

1 Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2 “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”
3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

15 “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel–let the reader understand– 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let no one on the roof of his house go down to take anything out of the house. 18Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak. 19 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now–and never to be equaled again. 22 If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. 23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect–if that were possible. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.

26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the desert,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

29 “Immediately after the distress of those days “ ‘the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’

30 “At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

32 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. 34 I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

That's what people has been saying for many, many years. It hasn't happened, and may not happen anytime soon. Don't hold your breath, just go on with your life and when it comes, you'll be ready.

Christian is true religious. Why? Did Allah rose from death? Did Buddist rose from death? No They all are still 6 ft under ground. And only Jesus Christ did rose from death. It is up to you to believe bible is truth or it is a liar story, or you reject to believe that Jesus rose from death.

If you believe into Bible then I can give you many verses for all day with all whys and what if-s and blah blah.

For your info, I was very atheist like you. I just understood of some bible verse then I became Christian and look at me. I am way oppose of atheist world, lol.

I'm not an atheist, don't let my signature fool you. My question is directed at Reba, but thanks for your response.

Yup I know with that. I don't stop with my life just for because of raptue. So, I just kept spread the gospel to people until my death or rapture. Again, I believe it is going to happen in our lifetime, if you are 19 years old. How? Anti-Christ rising, falsh prohpets, wars, dieases, homosexuality, and hypocrities people.

The word heaven is used over 500 times in the Bible. In the Old Testament ‘heaven’ is translated almost exclusively from two different words. The Hebrew word 'shamayim' which is defined as ‘the sky', the place where the clouds and stars are, or 'shamayin', the Aramaic word of the same definition. :type:

God has designed each of us with an empty space in our hearts that only He can fill. Everyone feels that emptiness in his or her heart, but everyone tries to fill that void in a different way. Some try alcohol, or drugs, or sex, or money, or power, etc. Some try various religions. Actually "things" like drugs and money are like "gods" to some people. Some people try religious "gods" like Buddha, Nature, Allah, or even Satan. As they live, people find that none of these "gods" truly satisfies their needs, or give full peace. So they try another one, or they give up and descend into depression or even death. Some people "feel" they have found the right "god" because they have temporary or false satisfaction. If they are truly honest with themselves, they will notice there is still a tiny void bothering them. But sometimes hearts become hard, and that void is ignored.

Each person's spiritual experience is different. For some people the decision is quick. For other people, it is a longer, harder struggle. Some people have stubborn hearts. But God is patient and does not easily give up on them. Some people have very tender hearts and accept Jesus when they are little children. Each person is so very different.

Most other gods appeal to the satisfaction of physical pleasure and needs, not the spirit. That is one important difference. As historical research, I also discovered that the other "gods" were distorted copies of the real God and Jesus, or glorifications of man and nature.

I suggest praying to God and reading the Bible as a beginning way to find the truth.

Yes, two important points about the Rapture:

1. All Scriptural requirements for the Rapture to happen have been fulfilled. It could happen any moment. We should not postpone our spiritual preparation.

2. Rapture could happen any moment but it might not happen for years. Therefore, we must not waste our time sitting around waiting for it to happen. We must continue working and serving the Lord until that time comes.

I think that is why God in His wisdom doesn't let us know the time or day of Rapture. Suppose He told us, "Rapture will happen at noon on Jan. 4, 2204." Then people would think, "Oh, well I don't need to worry about that; I'll be dead before that day. I'll just kick back."

I get the distinct impression that the neo-Christians think they can dictate their terms to Jesus when He returns.
They are in for a HUGE surprise.

What is a "neo-Christian"?

I think you know.
Neo means "new," more or less.
Neo-Christians believe that Jesus would condone the mass killing of civilians in Iraq, that he would consider the war just, and some would go so far as to believe that Bush is the "assistant Messiah."
All kinds of kooks among neo-Christians.
