Raincoat or umbrella

I used to use an umbrella hat. I think I should get another one.

Neither! They are both too restrictive and cumbersome, but if I were to choose one - the lesser evil would be raincoat.
 
I ride bicycle to work, and how do you ride bike and hold umbrella at same time on rainy days? I use raincoat.
 
Neither, I run. I'd never be out in all day, just to and from the car. I ain't made of sugar, even though I'm so damn sweet, I won't melt.
 
Depends. Most of the time I am just going from point a to point b in a car and between buildings so any jacket with a hood to cover my HA is good enough. However when I going to football games- a raincoat with hood and umbrella works wonders when sitting in the stands cheering on my kids games is what I do. If it raining hard and want the mail- I use a umbrella for a quickie jog to the mailbox. When I work on a outsidee project andd its raining all day - I dress up in a full rainproof suit/jacket and hood. There is nothing more miserable when getting soaked in 50 degree temps or less and trying to get things done.
 
I don't mind getting a little wet but I don't want my phone or books to get wet, and I prefer to have a professional appearance when I show up for an assignment. Sometimes it's a long walk on campus (up to a mile) between classes or to the parking area, and we can have heavy sudden showers that flood enough to close the streets. (Once I did have to show up for work soaked up to my knees, just walking from my parked car to the building.) That's why I keep a small umbrella with me and/or a folded-up hooded windbreaker.

If I have to work outdoors in the rain, I prefer a yellow hooded raincoat so that my hands are free.

If we get caught in a rain shower while we're on the motorcycle, I definitely would put on a rain suit (although I prefer not to ride in the rain at all, for safety reasons).
 
Northwestern are very popular on wear raincoat than rather have umbrella. That's something I learn. For southern, it's hard to tell and not everybody have raincoat. So, we take both during cold weather.
