LOL! I am so sorry on your experiences. I was productive in my leukemia group but it was mostly supporting the other members! This seems like a very close knit community and I would want to keep coming back (Of course, hopefully this will be my last survey) and contribute. I am having such a hard time figuring out my major (speech pathology or audiology) that I took this class "Observation". Of course, it would be better to go and actively seek people but the idea of bumrushing someone in the mall doesn't seem very nice. BUT I COULD BE WRONG. :)

I did. But I am in remission right now thankfully. :)

You bet I do! The guy on the left is a Pekingese, named Joey, and he is deaf.

On the right is my little Baby, and she is a Shih Tzu. :)
 
Adorbs!! Aww. He is too precious! I love them. I have a pekingese too. His name is Bruno and he is the alpha male. He even communicates with this little paws. He hits me when he wants a petdown and then when I do and stop, he looks at me angrily and paws at me more to continue. It's hilarious!! How old are your dogs?

Joey just turned 7. And our Baby will be 7 next month.

if you still want home made ice cream... I can make it no prob!!! can do just about any flavor... even soy if anyone is lactose intolerant... I can also make some gluten free cookies and pie for anyone that wants it!!! I love parties!!! can we make this a party? signing only? I need a break from the hearing world i'm forced into... party? party please?

Nothing bad of course. It's just really sad that being a dog lover myself I never even considered they might be dogs. I was thinking:

Bad hair day?
slippers?
costume party?
abstract art?
A kid (or two)?
some kind of fuzzy blanket?
I threw out a few more ideas but they didn't quite fit so I'm not listing them here.

This reminds me in my less Deaf days (better hearing days) I would listen to the radio to a rock station. They sometimes played a sound guessing game where they played a sound and you had to call in and guess what made that sound. That was a exercise in futility. :roll:

Fuzzy blankets maybe. And the Shih Tzu is actually convinced she is a little girl just like my two small granddaughters! :wave:
