Questions about the verses

As you probably already found out from Heath about Exodus 4:11.

Ok...I want to understand what this verses mean.

Micah 7:16

"When the nations see those wonders, they will be put to shame. All of their power will be taken away from them. They will be so amazed that they won't be able to speak or hear."


Mark 9:25

"Jesus saw that a crowd was running over to see what was happening. Then he ordered the evil spirit to leave the boy. "You spirit that makes him unable to hear and speak!" he said. "I command you, come out of him. Never enter him again."
(me -momoftwo's comment- I don't understand this? because of Exodus 4:11 - it says that God made people to be deaf but this verse (Mark 9:25) says that the evil spirit made people to be deaf????) I don't understand.

Roman 10:9-10

"Say with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord." Believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead. Then you will be saved. With your heart you believe and are made right with God. With your mouth you say that Jesus is lord. And so you are saved."

On Mark:25

Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him, "You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and never enter him again!" He is talking about the spirit that is inside of the boy who is mute and deaf, wants that spirit to come out and never enter the boy's body again. I hope I'm correct on this. Feel free to correct me here.

I don't understand this one: Micah 7:16

Last one, Roman 10:9-10 That you believe in Jesus in your heart you know he died for our sins, You'll be saved. Believing Jesus is our Lord.

Correct me here, Reba and CyberRed If I'm wrong or anyone else for all that matters. ;)

Micah 7:16 (KJV) The nations shall see and be confounded at all their might: they shall lay their hand upon their mouth, their ears shall be deaf

The story of Moses and the Red Sea, for example, is very amazed for the nations to see the wonders, but they refused to believe it.

Mark 9:25 (KJV) When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

A man begged Jesus to heal him. When Jesus said, "Thou dumb and deaf spirit", it refers to a spirit, not physical. Jesus commanded a dumb and deaf spirit leaving out of a man. To understand that a spirit does NOT make a person "deaf."

Exodus 4:11 (KJV) And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?

Please look up verse 10 (KJV) And Moses said unto the LORD, O my LORD, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.

When God asked Moses some questions concerning mouth, deaf and blind, Moses's disability is oral problem. Therefore Moses was a disabled man. That is how God used him for His purpose. God uses any disabled people for His purpose to win lost souls to Christ. You see Reba, CyberRed and I are deaf that God used us here on this forum for His purpose to help you understand the Scriptures what we discussed here on AD. Not only us here, but you see many deaf ministries around the world because God uses deaf preachers and many hearing preachers to deaf people for His purpose that deaf people saved.

Do u mean that most deaf people are "lost souls" so God can show to satan that God wins that many disability people go to Jesus as He beats the satan? (not to satan)? Is that what you were trying to say?

Reba is DEAF???????? No way..because she involves in the military so she can't be a military because she's deaf. I think Reba is hearing.

Yep, You're correct. Reba is not deaf, she is hearing and she is a sign language interpreter. ;)

I agree with the most of what Askjo said in his post. God uses deaf/HoH/crippled/blind people to witness others about Jesus Christ. Not just deaf people.

When you read the scripture that says "Say with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord" -it doesn't mean that you have to use your MOUTH, but it also means you could use your HANDS when you sign. God can read every person's heart and understand their desires.
 
Let's look at more of the context:

Romans 10:9-11
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

I don't believe this passage means one must physically speak the confession in order to be saved. I believe the point is that the decision in the heart AND the words one speaks (or the signs one uses) must match. That is, if you truly believe in your heart that Jesus is your Savior, you should want to "confess" (meaning tell other people, thru spoken words, or signs, or written notes) that belief. It also means, if you say that you are a Christian, you must also believe that in your heart. Your words/actions must match your beliefs. If your words/actions don't match what is in your heart, then you are either a hypocrite or lying to yourself.

If you are truly saved, you won't be ashamed to let other people know that.
"For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed."

True...I owe my rejoining of the church to a very kind guy who took a lot of care to show me around the facilities and not only told me where I was going, but guided me to make totally sure I got where I was supposed to be.

This stood in great contrast to a previous time I'd gone to that same church and no one had bothered. That previous time I'd left in disgust at that.

It so happened that this kind guide was blind, and that certainly doesn't constrain in the least who he can witness to. And I'll also tell you he's been the best about keeping up with me after I had to move away.
 
Micah 7:16

This refers to the future time when God miraculously leads Israel back into the Promised Land. The rest of the world will be so shocked and amazed that they won't be able to speak. :jaw:

Do you remember watching the TV news when the WTC buildings were attacked on 9/11? Did you see the people staring up at the buildings in shock? Did you notice that many people covered their mouths with their hands while their eyes showed horror? That is like the verse says, "they shall lay their hand upon their mouth."

They will be in so much shock that they won't notice the sounds happening around them. It will be like "their ears shall be deaf."
 
Hi I am back and Momoftwo I would have to say alots of people here on AD forum helped you on this one and I don't have any more to add except that healing of deafness does happen today by the Lord Jesus Christ and that the KJV Holy Bible is always interesting and fascinating to read and pray and see many things happen that are good, holy pure and awesome :)

I'll do my absolute best...he's definitely the kind of person you WANT to remember. Very calm, pleasant to be around. :)
