My question is "I hate" the same meaning as "I don't like"? or different meaning, so please explain that to me.
Someone said, "hate" is like revenge, right?. "hate" is a strong word.
I hate and I don't like means the same thing, but these two words just describe differently on how people feel. For example, hate is more a strong negative feelings than "I don't like you".![]()
Therefore it does not mean the same. Hate is a stronger feeling than just disliking.

You know when someone said, "I hate you" it could hurt her feeling or his feeling. but "I don't like you" also hurt her or his feeling too. It's the same feeling for word both "I hate" and "I don't like".
interesting.

You're welcome too.Oh wait, I didn't get a thank you.

I
for your input.
In general:
"Hate" is a more active feeling against someone.
"Don't like" is a more passive feeling about someone.
"Hate" means someone wants something bad to happen to the other person.
"Don't like" means someone doesn't care what happens to the other person.
It's even possible to love someone that one doesn't "like". We can love family members--that is, we take care of them and want good things to happen for them--without "liking" them. That means, we love them but we don't enjoy spending time with them. But we don't want bad things to happen to them.
My opinion.
In my opinion, yes.You can dislike a person and still care about that person and still worry about their welfare.
In my opinion, hating a person DOES mean that you wish evil upon that person.and hating a person does not mean wishing evil on that person.
That would be "don't like" the person, not hate. You just wish not to be around or really care for the person at the time.
