That's right. It's true that it isn't required for Phillips to get permission to cut the tree limbs. It's usually more courteous to inform the neighbor first, and find out if the neighbor has any plans for cutting down the tree. But only Phillips can judge the neighbor's attitude and possible reaction, so we'll leave that in Phillips' hands.![]()

I have to question...
Can I be cutting the neighbor’s tree with sticks over the line my property. the tiny nuts dropping on my garden/yard  also their sick tree have caterpillar's nests> cause my Garden/Veg, apple trees etc.. problems
Today I am going to home depot and buying longest stick with saw to cutting it?
My friend said go-ahead cutting the tree's stick with only over my property.
Last year I asked them to cut their sick tree.. Said NO!They leave messy on their yard!! Long grass, sick tree, bee hives on their brand new house!

I'm curious about this "cranapple" tree. Ocean Spray Cranapple juice (one of my favorites) is a blend of cranberries and apples but I've never heard of a cranapple tree. That would be some interesting genetic engineering.
Could it be a crabapple tree?
Ha... that's arson.. you know that, don't ya?![]()
You can cut the branches of the tree of neighbor's since the branches are over the line of your property. YOU CAN NOT CUT THE TREE DOWN since the TREE is on other side (not your property) My husband and I cut the branches in the backyard last year because the neighbor's branches went over the fence and line of property. We did not tell them that we are cutting their branches since they can not see the back of the trees (they planted trees in a row that's mean we can not see their house from our house. The neighbor have not complained yet....
Other neighbor cut their own branches in our yard.... since they can see it going over the fence. They asked us if it is okay for them go into our backyard, we told them that was fine with us.... We are not complaining as long as we communicate with each other.
If its really annoying you, then call city and have someone check their backyard to see if they need to cut the tree.

One good trick would be to use a string with a small weight on the end. Make a loose loop and wrap it around the branch. Move the loop until the weight lines up with the fence. Now, you know where to cut it.![]()

No call the yr city code inspector they will come out and inspect yr property not the police they will just give u the number to call the city. which is a waste of time. The inspector will tell u go ahead to cut but he will warned the neihbor if they dont comply say within numbers of days then the city will give u notice to go ahead to cut it. But after that then u can cut it anytime since u got permit to do it again or any other time without have yto call the inspector again since u have the notice from the city as a prove. So therefore yr niehbor cant sue you see.Wow very interesting..
Rick isn't calling me back Sooo Probably calling me back on business hours on Monday![]()
