How do you define 'a true disability'?

i have 2 checks.. since dr say i cant work cuz of my back...

i have Large herniation centrally at L5-S1 causing central canal stenosis with AP diameter of 7mm. Defect is very slightly larger to the right than left. it does appear to cause bilateral S1 nerve root imingement, right more severe than left. Pofminet bulging annulus at L4-5 which shows high signal intensity along the posterior disc margin. this high signal intensity suggests posterior annulus tear..

also now i feel worse, anytime surgery this yr or next yr... depend what dr say.. i will see dr this oct ... :(

but the majority of these people have the 'victim mentality' that prevents them from working. There's too many organizations encouraging people with disabilities to maintain the victim mentality
Then how come 80% of people on disabilty/SSI want to work? Most people with disablities who are on SSI, need the money to qualify for Mediaid which covers a lot of stuff that insurance doesn't. There are people who have victim mentalities, but it's mostly a health care concern.

but I do support plastic surgery or treatments for comestic reasons like acne, disfiguring look, or abnormal shape since they do really help them gain their self esteem and be more accepted by the society.
Oh I agree...and a lot of times those types of surguries are functional, since they can improve a lot of things, like speech, eating and stuff like that....but getting plastic surgery b/c you don't measure up to The Body (Elle McPhersen) is beyond rediclous...what next? "Oh if only my heart were two shades redder?"

I'll check with my father who is in military, he will check into it if they are offering this so-called benefit. I'll get back to you.

that so called benefit is available now after Iraq war has started because those females who comes back beaten up.. need their boobs fixed eh...

you must have missed the news where a porn stars is protesting that those $$ should goes to bullets not boobs.. (I believe that was part of $87 Billions that republicans passed and signed by Bush whereas most of those $$$ went to no-bid contract winner Haliburtion (Dick's former company) and the same bill that Kerry voted against because of those verse in the bill regarding no-bid contract.

No...that is NOT true. My sister's friend said that when she was in Hawaii, all the military personal SPOUSES (not anyone who had damage from combat) were all getting butt lifts. I have zero beef with reconstructive surgery...but free boob jobs and butt lifts are too much! I mean we have military personal on welfare for crying out loud!

You know something? you are darn right! I know a co worker (female) whose husband WAS in the Navy and she had face lift and eye lifts for free just because her husband retired from Navy..geeez...not fair! Also when she and her husband went to Hawaii cuz their daughter was living there and they flew on military plane for free.....damn!

and that such benefit too!

makes you wonder why millions of people has crappy healthcare or without even un-afforable while those in military get better healthcare eh? Bush is not promising us anything... time to throw him out of office.. Put Kerry in and let Sen. Clinton work with him to give us (all of us in USA regardless of income!) the best Health care that are equal to those who works in congress/white house!

That would be a "space available" flight. That means the military plane was flying to that destination for an official mission, and they had empty seats available for passengers. On a "space 'a'" flight, it is first come first serve, waiting for a seat. You might get bumped. There are no guarantees. If someone with military orders gets to the airport and they need your seat, you get off. Retirees are last in line.

The seats would be empty otherwise, so why not let a retiree ride? That is a small benefit compared with 20-30 years of military service and long family separations.

Are you saying military and their families don't deserve their health care benefits? I think they have earned their benefits.

You expect health care for yourself; what did you do to earn it?

Read what Boult said. Only YOU are implying anything.
The deaf cannot serve in the military, so YOU are saying that the deaf are to be penalized???
EVERYONE deserves medical care, period.

Deaf people who are physically able to work can get medical insurance from their employer, just like hearing people do. If they are not physically able to work, they are eligible for Medicaid, just like hearing people. Not all hearing people can join the military either.

Medical care would be more affordable for everyone if the rates could be kept down by limiting malpractice awards (tort reform), and by encouraging Medical/Health Savings Accounts with tax-free interest.

Like I said before, you voted for Bush and you deserve this shit if Bush overhauls Social Security. There is a new term for Bush voters who complain about Bush and his decisions, "Your vote. Your fault." I quoted that from Guardian, UK newspaper.

You can either way, no more vote for President-candidate republicans or write the letter down and send to congressmen/congresswomen-republicans to let them know that you don't want Bush to overhauls Social Security.. Sometimes the voice of individual does work, sometimes it doesn't work.

Your vote. Your fault.
