Plastic shopping bags

QUOTE=omegaman;906343]I hope not, carrying that basket would give me a sore arm..:) I will patiently wait until they figure out how to teleport things..:)[/QUOTE]

We need sore arms cuz obesity is a problem here. We could use the exercise! :giggle:

The CBC (Canadian) program talked about plastic bags today. There is a part where they made a wedding dress out of white plastic bags. A dress that lasts forever!

I prefer cotton canvas bag. I am not sure if all stores will let me use the canvas bag. I used to work in a food store. I tried to use a plastic bag that came from a department store (not another food store) and the manager got upset about that. It seems that stores want us to use stores' bags with their logo on it.

Yep, then they can use us to do their advertising for them.

I have a messanger bag that I bought in NYC that I carry with me everywhere.
So much better then those plastic bags.

e almost never threw away a brown bag.
Yes, you can reuse brown bags in so many different ways. I like the ones with handles like you can get at Trader Joe's.
I hate hate plastic bags.
You know.........Someone should come up with something that could quick biodegrade dog poop.

I save all of those handled paper shopping bags like that, too. I;ve got a canvas tote, and a net tote that I use for groceries, and like a DD, I've got a messenger bag that goes everywhere with me. Of course, it usually has books and papers and personal stuff in it!

What if you forget to bring a bag, or you buy more or bigger things that don't fit into your bag? What do you use?

I know one local store that doesn't use bags. If you don't bring a bag, or your stuff doesn't fit, you just have to juggle everything in your hands or stick them under your arms, or in your teeth.

If I forget my bag, I have an extra in my trunk. And I'm one of those shoppers that knows what I am going after, goes in and gets it, and gets back out, LOL. I hate wandering around in the store looking at this and looking at that. I trained myself years ago not to buy on impulse because it wreaks havoc with the old budget.

Whole Food Market let me use a box they had laying about, to put soup cans in when I was stocking up on them.
