Meant for gamers/multitasking.
I'm not sure what I could sell it for but at the time I spent over 3,000 on it all built myself.

Price ideas anyone?

looks nice but my computer is better than your computer and still beats you ;)

I said $1,500 to $2,000 depend how old and why sell them?

Because I want to buy a better car for $1000+ and use the rest of the money for a laptop.. I'm a college student and I find it a bit easier if I had my own laptop at school instead of something big laying in my room.

I should say, I want to use at least $1,000 of the money that I get from this PC and add it to a better car.

Start with the price you paid for everything and then cut that price in half every 6 months. That's how much it's worth.

For instance, a $2,000 computer is worth $1,000 in 6 months... $500 in 1 year... $125 in 2 years...

LMAO tell that to me my old HP zv5410us AMD64 laptop would be only worth $100 considering I spent 1,200 on it at the Circuit City way back in 2005.

Fast forward to 2009, I spent 1,200 on a Gateway Intel Core2Duo Penryn FX Gamer Editon laptop, Im willing to bet it may hold its value better than the HP did in its first 4 years.

My cars hold much better resale values than my computers :P

computers are now starting to level off, prices, ages, models are now 'common knowledge not just go geeks (except details to discern high end parts). Computer market has already started to 'behave' like a car market. so yeah newer better computer you have now will retain usefulness for longer so it will also retain their value abit longer. Back in early 2000's they were churning out new CPU's every 3 months and the public 'knows Ghz' well they do nowm but duels and quads to them its still foreign, more so that 'bus speeds' etc but public (ordinary end users) will catch on later (slower) just like they did with fuel injections for cars.....and ABS....

dont sell it short, id say $1900 if its a well sorted smooth unproblematic system also providing all the OSs youre running is legit with back ups.
maybe throw in a couple of games (the ones that wont run on your lappy, now if you're getting a gamer laptop , imo thats a dumb move, the GPU will get cooked faster than your car's bonnet would fry an egg.
if you're saying you want a lappy for study, just stick to that, it will be far less traumatic that say if the laptop's screeen done blank (and you cant retrieve your work you would be in big trouble) just my suggestion. but good luck on the sale.
cheers

Why you spent $$ two different CPU(s)? Hugh drop $$$ on CPU.

What type of Core 2 Duo processor? E5400? E8xxx? E6xxx?
What type of Quad 2.44 processor? Q6600?

Not see any info.... brand of motherboard?

Why not you google at ebay to see how much $$$ they sold used computer or nobody bid?

How will you sell your computer?
If, you ask for price. Nobody will pay you $1500.
More like sold at end up at $800 or so-so.

If, you get a car. You are college student. If, you do not have any job. How you can afford to pay insurance & repair car?

His parent or families is probably cover it.

What about motherboard and PSU?

Im more curious about motherboard. Is it capable of switching between the two different processors?

OCZ and Corsair RAMs are pretty expensive and designed for gaming.

Yes, You can switch different processors as same type of socket.

Corsair is not expensive

Newegg.com - CORSAIR 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Desktop Memory Model VS2GBKIT667D2 - Desktop Memory

So you mean Corsair XMS and yes it's expensive.

lo, this made me remembered, I used to have Muskins 222 specials, BH6 back then it was special ok not quite as good as the famed BH5, hell, i ran the XPM2600 (IQYHA settings) it was a WOOT !!
expensive rams are only worth if you'd actually overclocking, whether mild or wild. (if mild it would run 24/7 for 2 years not slowing down - gamers heaven)

yes it is i have seen hybrid combo mobos, in between AMD pretty rare, and doubt its thats efficient in overall computing power, (but a different 'type of efficiency' is to be awed in the fact it can adjust to and fro different cpus.
Slightly more common are the motherboards with 2 different sets of Ram slots....
i wouldnt know if this is more to do with mobo drivers or flash BIOS's or what but if you google something like dual rams or DDR/DDR2 in one motherboard you might find something....

I havent had a problem with my GPU being so cooked faster especially when Im running games on my gamer laptop. My Isuzu's hood would really cook a well-done steak faster than the laptop would do an egg.
