Or how about just letting parents do the job they are charged with. Being a parent to their children.

I personally would never send my ID over the web at all..email or otherwise just to be a member of a forum.

I understand what you are saying, but I just don't feel it's appropriate.
 
In Australia, you have to be 18 to be ableto drink legally, and as well as other stuff likebuy cigarettes, view r-rated movies, etc...

I'm turning 19 this year... ugh... I feel old!!

Okay, my parents are outside swimming. I go in my parent's room. I go in my dad's pants. I take out his wallet. I take his ID. I make a copy of it with my copier/scanner/printer. I cut out my face. I mail the copy to Alex. I'm in! :thumb:

Exactly, its what I thought, it don't make any different, pinch his/her big sibling's ID to fool AD!!

Or should they need a police or Justice of Peace's to vertify its a true mug shot photo of AD and their age? And then Alex will contact them. it will cost $$$

Good question...

I'm also agree that it's parents who are the responsibly to let their children to involve with Adult forum.

The teenagers are already around here... :| I beleive is that the parents add their children's birthdates on the register list which it's easy for Alex to look the birthdates then he can do something to prevent???

I would add the birthdate on register list for my children if they really want to join any forums for their safety.

Interesting...the legal age to drink alcohol in Australia is 18 :shock:

I think it should be raised to 21 -- because at 18, kids are still a bit young and reckless...despite those age limits, there are still heaps of underaged drinking going on in private homes.
In fact, my own step daughter went and got herself drunk and she was only 12 at the time! :squint: I wasn't impressed when I found out what she did. Guess where she got herself pissed? My frigging HOME! I had her with me over one weekend while my husband went away camping with his son...since step daughter's hearing and she took advantage of my deafness. :mad: She knew that I'd not be able to hear what she was doing in the kitchen and dipping into the alcohol pantry.
 
No, I don't agreed with you WaterRats13, I think 18 is ideal age for Australian, New Zealander, British and Irish people to drink alcohlic, vote, get married, adult jail and be responsible for themselves, and I believe 21 is long time to wait!!!

I remember we british were horrified about American's late legal age of 21.

I believe 18 is ideal age IMO

Yes, it's the same with here in Germany & also Europe, too...
The 18 years old are now adults & learn to take the responsibly with their lives...

I'm interesting to know why 21 is for American the legal age? Can you please explain us why?

I think that 18 should be the standard age for everything. If we're old enough to join the army and go to war, we're obviously old enough to make our own decisions... so let us buy the beer!

Same with me...that was IN MY OPINION about the age bar being upped to 21.

I just feel that age 21 is better than 18 years old for being allowed to drink bloody ALCOHOL. Same with cigarettes and all. But that's life -- the world's going to shit anyway.

In my opinion, 21 is alot more mature than the age of 18....I would say I totally agree with WaterRat13, I do remember myself being at the age of 18 and still drinks but when I got to the age of 21, I became more wiser and mature..

I wouldn't want to see this law changes in America...
 
Well, After a long research over alcholicism on 18 yrs old.. Just keep in mind.. that your body is still developing at 18 yrs old.

drinking beer, etc.. will harm the bodies of 18 yrs old.. and many of them lost their control getting accidents, damage things, etcetc.. College students are one of the major problems while 18 is legal age of drinking.

i believe 21 is a proper age.. and i support that law. and 21 is the most mature people than 18 yrs old are.

Let's look at it this way. We aren't officially adults until we're 18. We can't leave the house (parents) until we're 18. We can't join the army until we're 18. We can't smoke until we're 18. We can't watch NC-17 movies until we're 18. We can't watch porn until we're 18. We can't legally have sex until we're 18. There's a lot of things we can't do until we're 18. EXCEPT... we gotta wait until we're 21 just to drink alcohol! Grr!

Now, here's the problem:
We finish high school. We're so eager to get out of the house. We're now 18. Smoking isn't a big deal for anyone. Sex isn't a big deal for anyone. Watching porn isn't a big deal for anyone. Why? Because many people do it before they turn 18. When they turn 18, there's no joy or temptation to doing those things because it's now old news. However, for drinking... it's something they still can take joy out of and be tempted to be "bad" by drinking before the age of 21. That means, we've got 3 more years of wreckless drinkers. Now, if we lowered it to 18... then there would be less joy and temptation to drinking just like everything else. Ever watch "Spring Break"? Ever go to college parties? What do most parties have in common? A bunch of underage drinkers and that's asking for more trouble. What do most bars have in common? Mature 21 year old drinkers because they know they can drink in public without problem, but don't do anything foolish so they don't look stupid. If we lowered it to 18, then there would be less illegal parties and more legal bar visits... with mature adults drinking wisely.

Here's something else to keep in mind. I'm 18... I brag, "Hey, I'm smoking!" So what? I brag, "Hey, I'm drinking!" Ooohhh! You're so cool! Well, if it was 18... then my bragging wouldn't matter cuz it's "normal" instead of "bad" or "cool".
