Your argument about people having driver's license with no car...you said one reason might be that they can rent a car with it. So, if you want that to apply to CCW, you will have to show that people who have a CCW without a gun could also rent a gun with their CCW. Otherwise, your whole foundation of your argument drops out. That is why the car issue is a strawman.
One reason? There were several other reasons.
People cannot decide on which CCW-type gun to get. That is the biggest reason. CCW gun is very very very expensive and it's non-refundable.
				
 You wouldn't even realize it was gone until you reached for it. If he physically overpowers you, you don't think he is going to know you have a gun on your person? Come on.
