hmmmmm ... maybe I should have mentioned Hillary Clinton too
Clinton: Gadhafi needs to leave power - USATODAY.com
So....
If Obama and/or Clinton stated their stance on what Gadhafi should do, it means that we/the military are actually enforcing their opinion?
If Obama and/or Clinton didn't say a word about this whole thing, don't you think people would accuse them of being ambiguous, vague, flip-flopper, indecisive, etc?
Humph, politics!
U.S. deploys low-flying attack planes in Libya
/ ASSOCIATED PRESS - An AC-130 gunship is shown in this undated photo provided by the U.S. Air Force.![]()
The U.S. military dramatically stepped up its assault on Libyan government ground forces this weekend, launching its first attacks with AC-130 flying gunships and A-10 attack aircraft, which are designed to strike enemy ground troops and supply convoys, according to senior U.S. military officials.
Their use, during several days of heavy fighting in which the momentum seemed to swing in favor of the rebels, demonstrated how allied military forces have been drawn deeper into the chaotic fight in Libya. A mission that initially seemed to revolve around establishing a no-fly zone has become focused on halting advances by ground forces in and around Libya’s key coastal cities.
AC-130 gunships. They are wonderful tools. First used in Vietnam with converted C-47's. Currently in use in Iraq and Afghanistan.
They carry high capacity gatling guns. Nothing scarier than flames from the sky spraying down to the ground blowing up everything in its path. Go Air Force!

The Kill Team, as featured in this month's Rolling Stones magazine? It is a special report and inside story of how U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan murdered innocent civilians for sport. It has graphic pictures and I became too depressed to finish the article.
(Sorry, I just HAD to throw that in here.)
I'm referring to the one that Obama won.The Kill Team, as featured in this month's Rolling Stones magazine? It is a special report and inside story of how U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan murdered innocent civilians for sport. It has graphic pictures and I became too depressed to finish the article.

That was the story I was referring to a few posts/pages back.
There is already a Libyan town blaming this all on us after some collateral damage killed their neighbors.
um.... do not confuse "joy killing" with collateral damage.
collateral damage = UNINTENTIONAL
joy killing = INTENTIONAL
do you understand the difference or are you still confused?
but whether or not it has ties to terrorism is a matter of dispute.[11] In its profile of the Muslim Brotherhood, the BBC says: "By the late 1940s, the group is believed to have had as many as two million followers in Egypt, and its ideas had spread across the Arab world. At the same time, Banna created a paramilitary wing, the Special Apparatus, whose operatives joined the fight against British rule and engaged in a campaign of bombings and assassinations."
It seems you are still confused. Allow me to refresh your memory. You were claiming that Ghadaffi was intentionally targetting innocent civilians. I asked you how that makes us any better when we have soldiers "intentionally targetting civilians" too?
I asked, what if Ghaddafi considers the killing of innocent civilians by his troops to be collateral damage. Where is the difference?
You quickly a) changed the subject and did some flag waving b) attempted to attack my logic.
There ... thats about the quickest re-fresher I could come up with.
oh boy...
1. First of all - you talked about collateral damage caused by us. That I do not dispute.
2. Secondly - you are confusing "joy killing" with collateral damage.
3. We are not "joy killing" Libyans because our troops are not on ground, engaging with Libyan troops
4. What Gaddafi did is INTENTIONALLY killing civilians... which is why United Nations is taking action against him. That is a FACT. INDISPUTABLE FACT. Gaddafi is killing civilians indiscriminately because he believes they're all rebels
A question for you - are you saying that we, the United States Armed Force, ACTIVELY killing civilians like Gaddafi?
In red - Reagan dropped a bomb in Gaddafi's house.
