lol alot of reporters always left out a typo before releasing into the news...it always happened on newspapers...especially when they put the news in the wrong pages of the paper...lol

"Will face not face..."
Lol, they got all bases pretty much covered.
Pretty much like the beginning of "A Christmas Carol."

You know, "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, etc."

Sometimes the writers will put both versions in, or leave blanks until they know which one is correct, then go back to edit the sentence. It is a dangerous practice because, as you can see in this example, they forget to go back and make the change before publication time.

Same author, wrong book. That is the first line from "Tale of Two Cities".

Eeeek.
My bad.
What would I do without you, Reba?
:)

That's OK. "Tale of Two Cities" is one of my favorites, so that first line is very familiar to me. :) I like Dickens' stories.

LOL, your right about covering bases 'We told you so' no matter what happens.

Its so sad to read these stories. In many states, it is not illegal to leave children in the care of somebody who was 14. Unfortunately the 14 y/o went off shopping after lighting a candle. Sad story but I don't think the parents will be charged.

This is just the tip of the iceberg, no doubt. These are just reported cases, and one wonders how many go unreported. A lot, I would bet my life on it.
One wonders why, rather foolishly I think.
Is it because parents are becoming increasingly uncaring towards their children? I do not think so. I think that the economic reality today is far different from that rosy picture painted via the media---the media tells you one thing (or in this case several) and you look around you and see something different. The media tells you that the economy is booming, people are making more money, blah blah blah.
Oh, really?
Just look around you.
Both parents need to work to make ends meet in too many cases, and at the end of an exhausting day of work they watch TV and wonder what the hell is wrong with them that they cannot do that.
Yeah, it's sad.

this is sad I agree...

a 14 yrs old light up candle then off to shopping... what was she/he thinking that 12 can handle a 5 mos old baby and 1 yrs old baby.. I wouldn't leave a underage.. I would prefer over 14 -- 15 is more safer... and few hours thats it.. or older...

Most of time my brother in law babysit for us.. but for some reason like after school I let Heather babysit :)

I wonder if 14 yrs old Did take The Babysitter Class to learn about CPR, How to take care of Kids, Etc?????
At least 2 kids are Okay as good news! but other thing i think 14 yrs old should have P.O. for while to learn that she need attend some of kind class and make her understand what dangerous things that can cause deadly like candelight, match light, and Wax pour to burn. Like that....
How sad! :(
