The ASPCA is committed to fighting animal cruelty. Many animals in your community need your help. You can help save a life today. Give animals a second chance at life with help donating money for hospital fees to help/save the animals.

Donate money to:
ASPCA
Membership and Donor Services
424 East 92nd Street 4th Floor
New York, NY 10128

They accept credit cards, checks and money order. :)

There are many local chapters but under "SPCA" so if you want to check out for your local shelter to volunteer, foster, or even adopt, google it out or check at their spca's website at http://www.spca.com/ . No difference from ASPCA but ASPCA has its few chapters in urban cities (NYC has the biggest and busiest of all-- i think it is also the headquarters of ASPCA) and isn't everywhere like SPCA.
They have many programs you can do-- foster the pets when there are not enough rooms in their dormitory... it doesn't mean you are keeping it but rather "pet-sitting" until the SPCA find somebody to adopt the pet. Quite simple and you will feel good by saving many animals by nurting, loving, and being positive with them!

(I am only posting this because not many of you can afford to donate, but you do have time and love to give! They are priceless and helpful just like money.)

SPCA is also associated with Humane Society.

My family and I have fostered several dogs -- many with pups. It's a very enriching experience, and these animals are "special" because they're getting pampered, trained, and well cared for before they go to their permanent homes. A couple of the families who adopted our "fosters" still do keep in touch! It's nice to see pictures of them growing up.

Hi Sweet_KJ,

It soo good to see you here  , I have a question to ask you if I may, how do you become a foster for unwanted pets?, Do you know any web sites that I can look up for more information on how to become a foster?...

And how many animals are limit in the home once you become a foster?....

I hope that we are all aware of a fact----we are known by how we treat animals. It sounds like a simple and Duhhh statement, but it cuts very deep.
God bless animals, our very very best friends. You know what I am talking about. If you don't, then go to hell.

Oh yeah I know that ASPCA is in New York only but they are on Animal Planet and one of the busiest animal cruelty calls they have received more than other states beside Texas. They aired on TV that they need help donating money. So that is why I list the information here. ;)

That's right, Cheri! I knew you have always liked Animal Planet's animal cop shows!! When I was still in Utah, I would watch them all the time. Now that I moved to Arizona, I don't watch it much because the TV in the computer room is not closed captioned! :\

I'd donate some money, but I would like to give to a local chapter or something. I am gonna Google it.

Angel my dear friend, you can go to your local shelter and ask for the information and that what I did. 4 yrs ago I was fostering a mother along with her 5 kittens and it was so much fun. My cat was playing with the kittens and of course the mother had to chase my cat. LOL

Aw Thanks my dear friend for that information, I will sure check around ! *hugs*....LOL about the mother cat! cutee ;)
