Awww.. cute.. but.. :ugh:

we rescued few baby squirrels last winter.. then let them go in few weeks later.. and the surrogate mother took care of them.. BUT.. the babies came and hang out in our patio.. almost chew everything up what we have on the patio even patio too.. so i had to scoot them.. and feed in the behind shed.. so they stay there.. :/ not easy! ;)
 
ah yeah i know, they chew up everything... we have one that's friendly in our backyard, homer, he chews up the poles of our porch... but they're soo cute. :-D
 
Awwww...an adorable squirrel! Must be great fun taking care of a baby wild animal! :) :thumb:
 
shes doing good, opened her eyes on wednsday, (will have pictures this weekend) she's fattening up a little... no bites, no stratches, she's quite a dear actually. she's starting to learn that she can climb out of her box where she sleeps, so we'll have to build a cage pretty soon.

I hate to ask you.. did you bring that to vet.. to have it check it? to make sure he/she is healthy and.. mites & ticks-free.. Also, is your state banned to have wild animals to nurse or keep? here in MN.. we cant have wild animals to keep.. DNR will find out and will fine you heafty charge.. just want to make sure you are all safe.. hehe

(*wild animals are infamous to have mites..) wish you the best!

yes, we took her to the vet, that's how we know her gender, age, and bsbs like that. She's going to get some shots in about 2 weeks, and as for the state thing, I don't think it's banned because a lot of my neighborhoods have wild animals as pets (we live in the country, so the police don't bother us at all)

awwwwwwwwww.. I miss that cute squirrell. Never I forget that when I was lived in North of London, Ontario. Used to be lived townhomes. Somehow huge fat squrriel came on door.. scratches.. My cat staring on the door and waited.... I supsect and decide get cat put her basement and close door.. Little bit I had goosebumps and try to open door and stunned why squirrel standing and wait for door.. *ahem* I shoo squrriel away.. Next day, Same squrriel again here.. I puzzled why squrriel really wants in my house?? Heck no way.. In my mind popped up and say food ? I grabbed some nuts and feed squrriel.. but refused picked it up on the floor.. so I took nuts.. squrriel jumped on my arm.. whoa.. really scared me out of death. Squrriel crawl up to nuts taking and sitting then munching..
Whoa.. I didn't realized squrriel really wants sit on my arm.. I felt so sore my arm due toooooooooooooo heavy looks like overweight.. or sumth'n like that.

I was told my boyfriend (that time long years ago) about squrriel.. He thinks Im lying.. so I waited. Finally squrriel came back and scratching.. My bf heard it come from door.. I told him go ahead open it.. He jumped "WHOA" and looked at me.. seriouis ? I nodded him.. *hmmmmm* well ?? Im bring nuts for squrriel. I handed and wait for squrriel jump on my arm.. ahhh.. grab nuts again... munching.. I can feel squrriel feets but funny.. I refused petting due i m scared if might bite me.. I staring squrriel doing... cute.. unbelivable... wow.. I wish I could keep squrriel but not want to let it in my house.. Can be lead to housebreak.

A year later.. Another squrriel came here *whoa* another one.. I put on the floor outside... One squrriel refused take it.. another squrriel walks and grabbed then run away.. far distance and watched me. One squrriel jumped on my arm again and grab eat nuts.. Another squrriel saw me.. what am I doing with squrriel... Scared out of me, another squrriel jumped on my leg and climbing up.. In my mind, says OH PLEASE LET ME GOOOOOO.. then stunned saw squrriel sitting on my shoulder.. I must not move anything else.. squrriel walks down and grabbed nuts then jumped out away from me.. One squrriel jump out too and left. Few days later.. No squrriel come back ... Something wrong ?? I think neighbours called animal control.. Im not sure.. oh well... Pretty longest years ago.. I think 1992 or 93 year.. cannot remmy when extactly.
 
I remember when I was about 7ish years old -- we had this neat and lovely park near the neighbourhood where I lived in San Rafael...family and I'd go there and spend a few hours, frolicking around and having a picnic. There'd be quite a number of squirrels there who were bold enough to get closer to me and retrieve any food I had in my hands. One time -- a squirrel was brave to sit on my knee while I crouched closer to the ground to feed them. That one refused to leave until I was completely out of food, :lol:

Today -- I don't see a lot of squirrels where I live -- not well populated of squirrels, but possums...not those ugly fugged ones in USA...:roll: Those possums are quite daring to get as close as possible to humans if they're desperate enough for food. :) A few possums were brave enough to try climbing on my leg and try to reach the bread loaves I had with me! (Not only bread loves, but vegetable and fruit scraps as well)
 
aww how cute squirrel, they can eat nutty so far, and ran very zoom. I see many squirrel around the apt in St. Paul, MN in 1994 to 1996.
