Need Some Help Please!

Aww, geeze Mavni!! I apologize for misunderstanding. But, you are alot like me, I have a tough time putting my thoughts on paper. Well, excuse me... I need a beer. And I would like to thank DEafDucky for seeing it in a way I did not, and therefore I caught on.

Live LCD updates or other display for various transportation modes would be great! That would help others (non dhh) too.

Mavni, for emoji's click on the "smile" smybol in your reply bar. It will bring a drop-down for emoticons.

 Ahah! There's so many emoji!!!
@Cappy, it's no problem! Your inputs were helpful, thanks a lot! If you think of anything else, let me know!

P.S You guys are so awesome, my whole project is right here in this conversation! I'm super grateful :ily:

 If you are truly grateful, then please stick around and shoot the shit w/us. Way, way, too many first timers get their answers and then leave us in the ditch like a $5 whore. Don't be that person.

Yeah, alot of that. I try my best to not get hooked in. But, this time I failed. Dunno, if its a fail, I will wait and see.

What seems more promising this time is the number of responses within this thread from the OP.

Do you think we should wear some kind of flashing light that said 'DEAF' on it ??? I was going to also say what DeafNerdMommy about this making us an easy target !
I had a hearing dog and he wore a vest ,collar and leash that had 'Hearing Dog' printed on them. I stopped put the vest on him when people started to follow
me out of a store. I didn't want to get mugged ! And why did you wait for the last minute to finish your homework and want us to do it for you ?!

No no, I'm staying. Had to leave because it was way past bedtime! This was fun and I'd love to chat more about other stuff.
@whatdidyousay! No, that's not what I was suggesting at all! But I did fail to consider the dangers.
Also, I was looking for forums all this while, and then I found this one. It isn't last minute, the project is expected to proceed this way, mind maps and narrowing down, then statistics etc. I only wanted your opinions.

That's what I was looking for! And maybe maps of bus routes inside and outside buses or something!

Many do have maps inside metro cars/subway cars. SEPTA (PA) was pretty good with this back in the 1990s. Maps on the trains and in the stations. Buses I can't remember if there were or not. METRO in DC did have maps everywhere you looked (except the street bus stops- some had those little shelters and a map could be found on the wall). Oddly... I do remember taking the tube in London and their maps were pretty cool (yes I have a picture lol).

What would be cool- and I don't know if this is already available or not- is to have some sort of app that will flash the screen when the bus/subway/train reaches your stop as many times these days people are focused more on their phones/tablets and forget to look up to check either the LED board or out the window for landmarks or station signs.

That would be cool deafducky, I wish I had more rains by me. There is a metro 30 minutes away from me in Portland Oregon and a greyhound that runs through salem oregon, but I never have a need to take them
:( so I have never been on a train. What about planes? I have only been on a plane when I was a child and always with family. How do you know when to board?

Planes and airports are horrible... well to me anyway. Most airports do have those "monitor boards" (much like a tv) that lists incoming and outgoing flights and will show if they're boarding or delayed. I don't like them because in some airports they're too high for me to see and other airports they're somewhat at eye level but I still gotta get up close to read- too small font size.
The gates do have electric boards but I can't remember right now if they actually state they're boarding. They almost always verbally announce it and always "Rows 20 to 25" blah blah blah. So.. for me when I start seeing people line up I get in line anyway. I just say I'm deaf and can't hear the announcement (if my seat is not the section they called)- they usually just let me go. Could tell the agent at the counter but half the time they forget.

What was nuts... one time I noted I was deaf on a reservation via online. Landed at my connecting airport...and got an escort (!?!) errm... okay.
