CyberRed said:Okay -- I would like to share somethin' with you. Today, I went to Target to buy a packback before I get ready to fly next week. You know what the clerk at the cashier asked me ? She asked me, if I want 10% discount and, I said yeah, sure. The packback didn't say about 10% discount before I took it to the cashier. When she shown me the " ATM " little machine thing that was on the counter to pay for items -- I read what it was sayin' on the window in it. It asked me what my Social Security numbers was. She also asked me for my ID card. I was stunned. I told that lady ( cashier ) that I don't want it... meanin' I changed my mind to forget it. I paid the packback without 10% discount and left. I have a hard time believin' it. I can feel strange surroundin' me when I through this thing - I mean, really weird feelin' but, good thing I don't give out my SS#.
I can see about National ID card. It is on the way - processin'. What a scary thought ! *shudders*

If that prompt popped up on the screen, that seems to be a question in the Target system, not just an individual cashier scam. Hmmm....
Very weird.

Never had that happen to me, but I haven't been to Target in a very long time and I do not think we have a Target here in San Antonio.

Rose Immortal said:I moved away from San Antonio awhile back, but when I was there, they had a Target in Universal City/Selma.

That said, the comment that this is a sign that the Apocalypse of John is coming true is just stupid. Whoever came up with that should be sacked.
