I was checking into information with training/having trained my pup for the hearing service dog, a couple of questions came across my mind and I wanted to run it by everyone to see what you think and get some input on it.
Hearing Service Dogs are trained to respond to your name. I know my name is common, But if anyone called for a Mike in public I suppose the dog will respond to it anyways....
Now my big question is, Lets say, There is some form of danger lurking ( something ready to fall from above, or swing from the sides or comming from behind... I dont know, just something I havent observed and could be hazzardous...maybe not? Well, if some one is saying/yelling Sir, Mister, ect... the dog probly wont respond? So would it help to have my name on the back of my jacket or something? I know it sounds awkwards but just wondering as I want to train Storm to respond to my name call.
