my xbox 360 died for fourth times

but it was not an overheat this time, it is an A/V hardware was damaged. tomorrow I will have to call MS. :rl:
 
according to MS error on screen "E74" when i turned 360 on and i went to xbox.com/support to find out what does E74 mean.
 
ah...well at least it wasnt any other problems like overheating and it was the AV hardware...that should be one of the rare errors around...sorry it has happened to you again.

would still like to play more games online with you sometime once it gets repaired or replaced.
 
At first I thought it was an overheating but I noticed that it has only one red flash light. And I was like I had to check the error number and it was E74. So, now it is a/v hardware damaged. this unit is a refursched.

EDIT: i tried using a/v. vga, and composnt cables. nothing..

*puzzled* where did you hear that from? I never kicked my console by accident...it just had some freezing problems when I used the xbox360 by USB connection by gamebridge for awhile and then the screen kept freezing and I tried AV cable on SDTV and is still the same so I dont really know why it caused freezing problems so yeah it happened only once many times on the first console that I got since launch so now I got a replacement and is manufacted in July 06 so I hope its alot better than the first console I got.

I did got overheated in last May and sold at EBgames for got credits.
 
Damn...I just replaced my 3 week old 360 with a new one after my dvd drive failed. I posted a thread about it last week.

I didnt get a E74 code and red lights with the 1st 360. Just a screen with white background that says "Insert disk in a 360 console" and the dirty disc errors. My problems started after I finished off Act 5 Casual in GoW.

Now since I have the new 360 in place, I'm afraid to play GoW on the new 360 lest the same problem strike it. Even though I bought a xtended warranty with the 2nd 360, I just have to be cautious with it until I can get my hands on a 360 with the 65nm chip and Liteon DVD drive as the Samsungs in both 360s are not as good as the ones in my original xbox....
 
see the point.. bill gates just like to see people are fussing with the machine and waste the money on it... I never like Bill Gates, never have a great idea to rush on the new machines, they should run it first before hand to everybody on the earth. Maybe Bill just did but for how long?


same with the cars, if somebody want to create the a car with some kind of tech.. it would have to run for over one thousand's miles to see how it goes before to sell more cars.

AV is a Graphic Video problem. That is a hardware. I lesson about computer. :D You need to replace the av. :D You will not know how to fix the hardware. But I do not know abou that. I am sure that I will learn about hardware for A/V. :D Don't worry, you will be fine. :D
 
It's Microsoft, not our problem. It's sad that lots of people are loyal to Microsoft but you don't get a return because they want your money, not your fun.

Microsoft is replacing X360's for free. The first few runs will always have problems because the chips are more advanced to manufacture than ever so they will have to iron out the manufacturing process. This is the beginning, folks. Wait and see how the Cell processors pan out for Sony :Ohno:
 
I see PS3 have alot of problem. I hope not. :O We see! Well Xbox 360 not too bad. Just fix and back to you. :D No problem at all. I went to Wal mart Xbox 360 cost about 399.00. Wow! I not wanna that one. I look for Nintendo wii hardware, it out. :( But don't worry I will wait. :D
