I bought a used rider awhile back, missing the hood. Well, squirrels have been chewing the fuel cap off...odd behavior. Anyways, I replaced my parent water heater and saved the sheetmetal....and....

Yeah, very clever!!! YOu would always add turbo to it and you will stand out with a look like this.

All the measuring and cutting with sheers, only one shot at it, if a bad cut then its all scrap, so measured and remeasured and so the cutting began... sometimes I amaze myself, its a working flip forward hood, just needs a few tweeks here and there. I will paint the Busch theme soon, might do a bud light ???? Havent decided yet but Busch is it....lol At least it will keep the squirrels out...lol

Almost thought to paint it flat black with a stack on the front and add a cart (old style locomotive look ) lol

somewhat like this...lol

Not bad idea, perhaps perfect for my tractor too. My lawn tractor which I now called it suicide tractor. After all BS with safety that was causing too many problems. I took all of safety features out. BAM! it works perfectly. I no longer buy battery for these lawn tractor. They are way too expensive. I used portable battery powered jump start. Works every time, and it works with vehicles too, and it is cheaper too. Lawn tractor batteries now cost 40 dollars, and if your lucky enough that it will last longer than 2 years. My last battery jump start unit last me almost 10 years, for price of 100 dollars, can't beat that.

Every time when I start my tractor, I have to make sure everything is set up properly, like in neutral, blades are off, etc. I don't see reason for these safety because my yard is pretty much flat. I hate turning off blades when drive in reverse. Now I can without turning off blades.

I hate mowing lawn, and the reason for lawn tractor is to avoid grass allergic reaction. If I walk behind, I can't mow no more than 10 minutes and will take me two days to mow my lawn, with tractor, less than 20 minutes and the grass dust stays behind me not in front of me.

I think sonocativo's is still a working mower that thus won't have the passenger cars behind it.
Oh, I have a pull behind cart for it... but may make the blue and white plastic barrel cars in the future... kids would love it, hay rides?

Before I read the posts about making it look like a locomotive, I was thinking you should put train headlight on it. :D

That would even help when it was used as a mower if got caught by dusk when mowing in the late afternoon!

Yes, Im looking for LED spotlights to use for headlamps since theres less drain on the power system as well as LED tail lights
12 Volt LED Mini Spotlight with Magnetic Base

One Pair Submersible Trailer LED Lights

Don't forget the original lights where probably hooked up to the ac side of the charging system and led is a diode. You get fryodes if you try to run them off alternating current. As long as you run new wires and tap into the dc side you'll be fine.

You should be able to run plenty of oem style lights off the stator if you wanted to but it is a bit annoying how they dim when the rpm drop.

Just got to mention that your tractor project is coming along better than mine. I poored cement into forms for wheel weights last night and for some reason it never cured. Now not only do i not have weights but i have a huge mess!

Hmmmm good point there, I didn't know that, I thought the wire for lights ran on the DC side? I was just going to connect into that, guess I better check first huh? Wonder how to tell AC/DC sides? Heavy Metal or Punk? lol

When you turn key, no lights...once it starts and idles up the lights come on....so whats it be? I got a test meter but don't want to it to be Friedinatored either.

What type of cement did you use? Too much water will cause that, it should be like oatmeal or thicker when mixed not watery.

Oh, and post em up !!!!
