I am not trying to scare people away but this is what happens when dogs gone bad, Pitbulls and Rottwelers have higher cases of attacks than most other dogs. That's why I think it's important to keep all dogs on leash and on their own property for the safely of everyone. ;)

I would not want own pitbull. If I have future boyfriend want pitbull I would said Nope! or cover their mouth no bite.

That is a good picture of your pit bull. What many people misunderstand about the pitbull is that the pitbull is a good guard dog. The pit bull dog was made for fighting another dogs. You may want to get a 2nd dog , a German Shepard or a Doberman Pinscher. They make excellent guard and attack dogs. You will have 2 dogs at home. One is for guard dog and another one as the family dog. I have heard of pit bulls being nice to the dog theif at the time of thefts when someone jumps the yard to steal a pitbull but never heard of a German Shepard or Doberman Pinscher being stolen when someone jumps the yard to steal that dog. German dogs have a higher degree of terroritorial sense than the pit bulls do.

:confused: What exactly do you mean by those dogs make excellent guard dogs and can attack other dogs? You find that funny? I hope you realized what you saying here. I don't think dogs should be attacking any dogs period. :nono:

Mike, please don't let your pitbull near to ANY of those children and people too.

I hate pitbulls, pitbulls have different personalitilies when it come to angry or see bloody meats, they go crazy! :Ohno: Please keep your pitbull inside or tied up before getting in big troubles.

People have a big misunderstanding about pitbulls. The pitbulls do not make good guard dogs.

A German Shepard or a Doberman Pinscher will make an excellent guard dog.

This book I suggested will help clear up many misunderstandings regarding the APBT ( American Pit Bull Terrier ) and if properly trained, an APBT can make a good family pet with both adults and children but the pit bull is not a good guard dog. Not too reliable for attack guard dog patrolling your property.

You have a big misunderstanding here CrazyMomma, pitbulls can make a good family pet if properly trained and loved. Don't believe the media hype.

Do you think my son is that Pitbull's meat?? :Ohno: :nono: No NO! My son is not the meat... He is my child, I won't allow any pitbulls near my son or us.

I don't care, I still think Pitbulls is extremely DANGEROUS... I am a dog lover, and own 2 dogs, one is Lab/Shepherd mixed and other is Yellow Lab. Both of them are BIG baby, but they never harm anyone. This PITBULLS, look at the face, and they are HUGE! I have read and heard that a lot of small kids were killed by pitbulls. HOw does you feel about that?
 
Thats a cute picture of your pit bull....I too have a pitt bull and I think he is the best dog in the world. His name is Tequila, and he is the sweetest. I have had him almost 4 years now, and I wouldnt want any other breed ever. I agree with a little of everyones statements here. I know everyone has a bad out look on pits. Well whatever, let them think what they want. There are assholes out there who dont know how to treat their animals, and they get a bad reputation. I live in Iowa and in one of our sub-cities pit bulls are banned. I cant even take my dog there in a car...That doesnt stop me from having him. My dog has been around all sorts of children.....he loves them. The youngest was 9 months. She was laying on the floor, and my dog wacthed her and everyone else to make sure nothing happened to her. When she cried he would look at us and wine, sometimes pulling on our leg to get us to help the baby. I also have a younger brother who I live with, and whenever he gets upset, my dog runs up to him and kisses him.
Also I dont know if this is known by most people. But one reason pits can be bad, is a bad breed(blood line) they are trying to rid of these breeds. See a long time ago pit were used as bear bait, or even other wild animals. And also in Germany(like someone else here already said) used as fighting dogs.

Cheri, im glad u show this, see kids/animal are being biten by pit bulls and i am totally afraid of them, and i have to agree with cheri, doofus mama that they should ban pitbulls. in the part of denver those pitbulls are BANNED. last fall a pitbull escape and went to the neighbor and attack a yorkshire terrior and this lady was SOO UPSET (on tv) the dog died, and the lady got her revenge by shot the neighbor's other pitbull.
Doofus Mama, hows rocky doing since the attack? i hope he is well and doing good. as for my type of dogs are labs, german shpared, golden retiver, schaunez, these dogs are well behaved with kids

This is my best friend and my body guard JT. My dog for 1.5 yrs that is also his age. I am his only owner and that is good because we have a bond that will last until either of us die. Protection is what he gives me also his friendship.

Yes, that's right. It has happened before. Most dog attacks are committed onto the CHILDREN, not adults. Just look it up.

The only good type of a dog is a well-trained one, regardless of what breed it is. I have a purebred Yellow Labrador Retriever and a Yellow Labrador Retriever-German Shepherd cross. They are both great dogs because they were given a lot of love and good training unlikely many dogs today.

By the way, German Shepherd... they were once the target aimed at by the media like Pit bulls are now. It's all media hype, period. The same thing happened to dobermans and rottweilers in the past 3 decades.

Next thing you know, it'll be another breed they'll be targeting which will happen anyway. It's a common tactic used by the media, try to use your noodles for god's sake.

Being a sheep isn't going to solve any problems. It just shows that you take everything the news tell you at face value.

Well, Believe what you want Banjo, pictures don't lie, and injuries don't lie either. Those are real evidences. You really think the media would choose a dog that would be most frighten in people's eyes and pick on pitbulls/rottweilers/dobermans?? I think not. My son almost got attack by a pitbull for no reason and you telling me oh it's the owner's fault. He was a very good pet owner I know him personally. You know well enough that dogs like those snap for no reason at all. What about the time Annie's puppy got attack? on her own property? So, it's all the owner's fault huh? What a joke.
