Multitasking

Anyways..I have seen job description listing multitasking as one of the skills needed for a certain job. If multitasking increases the chances of making errors, then why would employers list that as a critera needed?

But has humans always made sense?
 
I tend to multitask some necessary things as long as I am not distracted, If I am distracted while multitasking, it will lead me to make mistakes.

Maybe they were multitasking when they wrote the job description.:giggle:
 
The jobs I can get done while multitasking is 0. I have ADD and I can't multitask worth a crap!
 
Um... I can talk on the phone, listen to music, and do homework at the same time.. well the third ability is interchangeable, like playing guitar, or writing a story, or drawing.

When I'm in school I can't mutlitask at all, ever, I don't know why.

Yeah, I find my ability to multitask depends heavily on my choice of tasks at hand. I can play guitar or bass and do anything else...it's like breathing to me. So a few other things won't matter. Things I don't enjoy, tend to neeed my full attention. Man, irony is a cold-fingered bitch...

On-topic: No, I cannot multi-task, can only do one thing at a time otherwise I make a lot of mistakes.
 
depends on the tasks---usually i can as long as i don't have to think about what i'm doing!!

Yeah, like... school is really easy for me, I just don't focus, so when I actually do its hard to do anything else.
 
I sometimes multitask depending on the tasks that I have to do. :)

What better multitaskers than mothers we clean, work , we tend house , tend to every need of husband and children and when it comes to women raising kids alone being father and mother thats when multitasking really kicks in.
