I like to see how many people can do multitaking and how many tasks you can do.

It has been proven that people think they can multitask however when we multitask, mistakes increases exponentionally.

What if someone has exceptional skills at it? I am not sure if I can multitask without making errors..just never really thought about it.

Interesting post.

true but it take practices

It doesn't matter. Each time you multitask, Your attention is being diverted and therefore, the brain will not rememeber details as much cause you are thinking of two or more different things. We humans are not truly designed to multitask if what we are doing require brainpower.

Example:

We can multitask fine if we are talking, walking, and chewing gum. However there is no need to remember or make sure what we are doing is correct so therefore there is no need to use the full power of the brain..

On the other hand, if we are studying and being on AD at same time. We will not remember what we are studying cause the brain is being diverted and not being able to use the full brain power to do the job correctly.

It takes a lot practices. Start small and expand from there. I normally do not multi-task when I am working. Dont want to make mistakes but sometime assignments pile up quickly and need to take actions. Will do it when I must do it.

Right now I am babysitting my granddaughter, posting at AD on my Blackberry, changing sesame street video in my daughters laptop, stopping the dogs from taking the babys granola bar.Granddaughter now tapping me because something wrong with video.Got to go fix my multitasking errors.

Very true. Especially when it is 2 tasks that require concentration, such as driving and using a cell phone. However, when we are doing something like washing the dishes and having a conversation, multitasking works a bit better, because only one task requires a large amount of concentration.

Mothers are great at this kind of multitasking!:giggle:

Could it be maybe that's why mother's work is never done? Too much multitasking? Gotta to go back and fix mistakes all the time? :cool2: :giggle: :giggle:

Yeah, I can multitask!

Right now I'm addressing an internet outage at work, drinking a diet coke, emailing my boss, confirming my appointment with the eye dr. today, posting a myspace bulletin, posting THIS thread, and talking to you on IM...all at the same time!

I really should take a break.
