I have watched on MTV whole time but some tv shows alike Real World, Road Rule, Battle of Ozzy, Laguna Beach and even TRL don't appears closed captioning to me. Some music video refuse to show this CC too.

Does it happening to you sometime?

MTV has a strong language so mostly of time parents don't want to affect to thier childern...

that's another reason to prevent the closed caption but still i think it's wrong anyway/

Hence the name, Music Television.

Perhaps they assume that deaf folks don't watch MTV due to their deafness.

Last time I watched Real World, Road Rule did had caption. Hummm....

But, I know that MTV or either Country has shown captions every other video clips. ;)

From my experience, sometimes MTV's control center will turn on the CC's or not when they transmit a show. It's often "hit and miss" especially when it comes to airing the series with CC's encoded in it.

MTV aint the only channel that does such a thing. Discovery and TLC are notorious for that too.

Most of my deaf friend watching MTV.

Usually, the new MTV shows sometimes don't have captions until the 2nd season.

I'm agreeing with you. Many deaf people should sue the MTV because MTV's whole shows don't have a closed caption.

MTV, music television. Tis a music is all about, right?

Look at that, Real World and Road Rules are no part of music? Oh yeah, don't forget Made, or True Life. Can somebody explain that why??

MTV in 1980's is totally bullshit but MTV don't have CC until laws passed in 1993.

The first CC is came on Real World: Los Angeles in 1993, I remembered it but its don't came on Real World: NYC in 1992. Real World is started new showed in 1992.

No. It started Road Rule: USA Tour in 1995.

MTV is quite on the inclusive side and this includes all aspects of society being glorified in their documentaries. I liked the Spanish Pompano, paella, and Tomatita events coverage.

I totally agree!

I agree with Richard, that not only MTV( which I don't watch) but all tv shows should be captioned.
I love closed captions!!!
If your favorite program is not captioned you and your deaf, hoh and hearing should write to the network, and your cable company and demind captions.
