BROOKLYN A 55-year-old mother walking with her daughter has been killed in a Brooklyn hit-and-run. The daughter is badly injured.

Police say it happened late last night when the two women were walking in the Marine Park section and were struck by a red Hyundai. They say Jane Felzin died at the scene. Her daughter is hospitalized in critical condition and is on life support.

Police are looking for the driver. No arrests have been made.

The dead woman's husband didn't know his wife and daughter were in an accident until police knocked on his door and told him.

Neighbors say they liked the family and feel bad about what happened.

Hit and run is a very serious charge, it's a felony by law, I don't understand why people run when someone gets hurt, I don't care if they have a warranty or not, but my goodness have a heart to help that person you hit. :pissed:
 
Thats sad it had to happened, why some people do that? if it was an accident, then they would have just pulled over otherwise they wouldn't like it if it happened to someone they know.... :(

Hope they will catch whoever did this,
 
Damn! Poor girl may not know her mom passed. :( I hope someone find the driver and put him/her in jail for life! That piss me off when whoever drive off! :pissed:
 
The driver did not drove off, I think maybe ran on foot, the car which is a red Hyundai was still there when the police arrived, but no driver, now they're looking for the driver. ;)

Yes, but we don't know if the car was stolen or not, We will find out more about this maybe tomorrow or whenever. They didn't much about the driver.
 
The car's windshield was shattered, and both front-seat air bags had deployed. The license plates on the car were from another vehicle.

the car must have been stolen .. cuz of license plate on the car came from other vehicle. stupid driver!

i felt bad for the mother.. but the daughter.. :( on life support .. this definitely sucks!

May God be with the family in this sad time!
 
WTF!? I hope they find that bastard (or bitch, if it's a female driver)!
 
Wow that's really nuts! That driver should be in a serious justice for sure!

Yes it's same here in Germany, too.

No wonder why the law scare people off... It make them dishonestly which not right... :(

I hope driver will contact police after learn that mother killed and daughter injured... It will shows that they feel bad... If not contact then I will know that they are cold as hard heart... Yes, hit and run is total wrong... It's not right to leave people injured to death.. :(
 
Sorry goes out for Mother's death and survouir daughter...
Made me feel *goosebumps* every minutes and hopefully someone who willing turn in the police station and already did hit and run...
I think the person who is very deep gulity permantly and scared to go turn in the police station reason scare to go prision.
Don't forget that.... The person will be always feel eating up their body due too much gulity everyday never goes away... inlcudes in their dream will be always nightmare never end...

So it mean the driver did hit them with his/her car and drove off, then pulled over a block away by dumping the car
 
grrrr at the driver who hit and ran away .. I hope so Police find the driver who hit and ran away :fingersx: *crossing my fingers*
 
Boy! Did they catch the driver yet? I sure hope they do. Then the justice will be bring but nothing can bring the mother back to life. I'm sorry for the family who have to deal with this! UGH!
Same thing happened here but only the driver didnt ran away. The driver hit the 7 years old girl on the bike while riding her bike in group with family. The car was slowing down/stopping to let them across the road.. the other car behind the car decided to pass the car and oops hit the 7 years old.... Turned out that the driver didnt wear the glasses which he was supposed to wear the glasses so he realy cant see them.. Sad!

Did the owner reported the car stolen early before hit and run ?

If not reported.. obvouisly the owner is responbile for her death.

Pretty hard figure out of plenty question!
