More Salmonella Cases from Tomatoes... Ugh

i am gonna try this method.. by using a big hanging planter and add soil and seed they should be ripe in fall.. i already have 6 plants in ground and they are pretty tall..

me too leery of them thats why i kept looking for a gro-bag but i hve no idea to where to get them?? my mom said use an old fashioned cow feed bag (they are soft) and put them in a bucket. cut out the hole in bottom i dont know if it will work? i am tempted to try it out ... but what if it fail? lol.. i would be willing to try anything....

as for winter time can use the plant light to keep them lighted all winter so u can have tomatoes all year round.

Gro-bags? well, i dont know where you could purchase them but your
mom has a good idea and good luck trying that method..let us know
if it does work.

Speaking of which, I have seen (in catalogs) ads for a "pomato". Has anyone tried growing this plant? It is a tomato/potato plant where you enjoy tomatoes all summer long and then dig up the potatoes in the fall just before the first frost. Cool, eh?

Pomato? I haven't heard of such thing like this. Which catalog did you see it from? I'm curious to see what it looks like.

In a way, I'm glad they're holding back on the tomatoes right now.

I can now go out and order food without having to say "no tomatoes" each time. ;)

i saw in my hometown newspaper said there is strains in tomatoes that are harvested in Arkansas? I was like oh no... dang that is not good.. ;(

i guess the list is not updated of yet?? weird....

Petit Jean Country Headlight you can look it up and see?? I dunno?? sigh..

15 people just got sick in my state now :( so I am refused buying tomato until solve it! Ugh!!

Now, I can eat tomatoes at subway. I want to have tomatoes on that sandwiches.

I like cherry tomatoes, yummy.

Last June 6th. When it's happened to Tomato. I ate a subway from my dad in the law. He brought a long feet subway for my party. I removed the lettuce and tomato which I am not in mood to eat tomato. I am allergy to lettuce. But it still stick in my sub. I can taste the tomato and lettuce. I got sick after next day from my wedding. I got diarrhea real bad. I found it out about Salmonella Tomato on newspaper and news on June 9th. I was shock. I was so lucky. I didn't go to hospital.

I prefer to eat my own home growing the tomato plants.
