This may be one of the all-time, stupidest things I've ever heard. And I've heard of divers doing lots of dumb stuff. However, last month, Dave Marcel was diving in the waters off Key Largo and did the unthinkable: he decided to kiss a nurse shark. I guess the shark just wanted to be friends, though, because it responded by biting Marcel's face, leaving him with a severely damaged lip that required extensive reconstructive surgery. To add insult to injury, the blood from the attack attracted snappers, who immediately swam up and helped themselves to a few nibbles, too. According to the cosmetic surgeon who patched Marcel, "Dave's lip looked like it had been put through a meat grinder or a garbage disposal." Ouch! If you can't imagine what the kiss-cum-bite must've looked like, it's all on video.

Why on earth would someone want to kiss a shark? Well, Marcel claims he's kissed sharks "hundreds of times " before: "You kind of pick them up, rub their belly, scratch them, hug them. You might as well give them a smooch while you're out there." Right. Surprisingly, it doesn't sound like Marcel has learned his lesson, either. According to him, his personal guidelines for the future will limit his shark-kissing to when the fish is NOT upside down. As though THAT were the problem.

Do I even need to ask what you think about this story?
 
Ohhhh It's goose bump to kiss shark... He should know better that shark have shape teeth... It look like that he tried out of curious...

I have played around with baby sharks off the Florida coast and I never thought to kiss a baby shark. That guy is crazy !!!!!!! Sure, the baby sharks swim around your legs you can pet some of them but WATCH YOUR HANDS AND LEGS WITH THE BABY SHARKS AND THE MOTHER SHARK THAT IS REAL CLOSE TO SHORE BUT THE MOTHER SHARK MAY NOT BE ABLE TO COME IN SHALLOW WATERS BUT IF THE MOTHER SHARK SENSES HER BABY SHARKS ARE IN DANGER SHE WILL ATTACK IN SHALLOW WATER. NO TWO QUESTIONS ABOUT IT.
 
Ouchies ! That must be scary ! Yikes....

I guess, that shark is not a human lover afterall.

Most sharks leave humans alone. I suggest you watch the Discovery Channel it is closed captioned and they should be doing a special on Shark Week on t.v.
 
Thats something steve irvin would had done.Did any of you saw him kissed a snake on the head?

Why suggest me to watch the Discovery Channel ? I know all about the sharks. Sharks are not very tame creatures. That man should not have kissed that shark otherwise, that shark could hurt him. It's why I said that the shark is not a " human " lover. :)
 
That is about the most idiotic thing i've ever read. I swear some people are just trying to get killed these days!

I personally haven't heard anyone ever kiss a shark on the lips before, makes me wonder what made him do that in the first place? did he expect a kiss back? :giggle: Sorry

I think he is trying to copy steve irwin's style with the animals. Steve had kissed crocs before but not sure with sharks. Anyways that still was pretty stupid. When his scar heals and he goes out on a date, the date girl sees his scarred lips and ask him how he get the scar?? Imagine him trying to explain kissing sharks to her...:giggle:
 
LOL, there sure are a lot of weirdos out there. First a guy wants sex with a hedgehog and now we've got a shark kisser. What is this world coming to? :ugh3:
 
What an idoit, a kiss can even backfired. :giggle: I don't care how many times he had done it, sharks aren't friendly, they want your juicy meat, be smart keep away from sharks.
