Man, 53, arrested 100+ times

MUNCIE, Ind. (WISH) - A Delaware County man arrested last week has been arrested more than 100 times in that county.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Office officials said 53-year-old Tony Irvin McKinley has been arrested 136 times since 1977. Many of the arrests have been tied to alcohol.

McKinley was most recently arrested Wednesday after an incident at a furniture store, where he was accused of cursing at employees.

Scott Winingar, owner of Mattress USA, says he called police when McKinley became belligerent in his store.

“I said, ‘You are intoxicated. I can smell it from halfway across the store.’ I said, ‘Dude, you need to slow down, you have to go out of the store because you are drunk.’ He became verbally loud, cussing,” Winingar said.

When he was taken to a hospital before being taken to jail, he was repeatedly threatening to kick, kill and spit on people, according to police.

On Wednesday he was arrested on preliminary charges of intimidation, resisting law enforcement, public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

The 136 arrest came after McKinley turned 56 years old. Police suspect even more arrests.

There used to be laws where habitual criminals just got lifetime prison sentences.

It seems that would be a good solution for this man.

Apparently, this man has NEVER received help for his alcoholism, unless he has refused to accept any. He is obviously angry about something.

I say get rid of them. I have no interest in housing, feeding, and educating undesirables for the rest of their pathetic lives. If you are dangerously detrimental to society... off you go.

He has mental problems by now after having his brains pickeled for so many years. Problem is that it is impossible to commit mentally impaired people to a hospital for more than a few days. When they shut down all those mental hospitals long ago they left no way to deal with the people who desperatley bneed help.

That is why we need "Career criminal" law, Three strikes, bye stuck in jail for good.

California has 3 strike law.

When you got 3 strike so you will sentence to life in state prison.

Wow. I actually never had read or watch something like that situation. He'd better to get some assistance soon.....
