Mallard Duck and the nest with eggs in it

Some kind of predator, no doubt. :(

Around here, it's commonly a gator.
 
But you would think there would some broken eggs shell around not unless the eggs where eaten whole . I wonder if some kids took the eggs.

Could be. That's sad, but when feathers from the mother were on the ground, it seems more like a predator took all.

I've seen a fox trotting down the trail with an egg gingerly held in its mouth. Momma fox and the kits have to eat too.
 
*snif*....just ain't right...but it happens.

A turtle laid some eggs in the park I take Marty to, the city roped off the ground so people would not disturb the eggs but some animals got to the eggs before they could hatch. :( I was really all excited about see some babies turtles at the duck pond
