From what I've seen on youtubes, it seems that mamma ducks usually pick the most inconvenient routes for their ducklings trek to the water.![]()

He came to me and told me about it. He stopped cleaning in the backyard after he found out. SO he ll wait for her and the babies to leave..
...he was "mimicking" their sounds..."Honk, Honk"....guessing the Geese thought he was another male and started chasing my son all the way home....
Geese will attack for no reason. They are mean and hurt when they bite!

And years ago...we bought 2 baby ducks at the Flea Market...they were so cute!...I kept them in the spare bathroom tub...then when they got older in the yard....but eventually, we took them to the river where other ducks were and let them go.....
I wonder where papa duck is , he would keep more than an eye on the husband....

Papa mallard duck do not stick around to helping with incubates the egg or takes care of hatchlings, let alone protect the mama mallard duck![]()
