Malicious virus Warning!

This brings me to an interesting question...

Comparing between religion and computer literacy, which is worse?

How many percent of religious people are computer illiterate versus religious who are computer literate?

How many percent of non-religious people are computer literate versus non-religious people who are computer illiterate?

When I say "religious", I mean as in "very religious" like reading the Bible every day or talking about God all the time. There are people who are religious, but they don't preach to others or read the Bible every day. They just believe in God... period.

Anyway, I wonder what the numbers would show. ;)

A good reason to go LINUX. You wont have to be subjected to malicious mischief from kids who think they "own you".

Because Linux is not popular. That's why Windows have many program than Linux plus M$ is more than 90% user over world.

IF Linux is popular than M$ then Linux probably got virus more than that.

Mac and Linux had virus before.

Nothing to be safe.

That's what I did, didn't work very much. I had so many of those type of virus hidden deep in the system. The only way is to clean all of it out, is doing it off-line. ;)

Use regedit then.

People simply should use computers only as communication tools. Its real sad people hoard in junk freeware chock full of adware and spyware that requires people to spend time and money to remove. And Linux is a very simple system that dont have the marketing tricks windows got and Linux is becoming much easier to install and more graphical interfaceable than it used to be. The biggest benefit from the limitations of linux is peace and freedom from the bugs that floats aound the windows systems.

Cheri, what virus was alike? i notice my computer running slow and frozen then gone altogether when i deleted one of others

You got either Malware or Spyware. More like Spyware because you don't get constant pop ups like Cheri had.

I had popups, which spyaxe It happened right after clicking Heath's links that provide in AllDeaf, My computer went nuts all sudden virus alert went on, booting off, computer froze. Even through I had blocked on--for popups websites but cannot do it for strong spywares. I did everything I could to remove this virus, It was pain in the butt. I finally removed it all when I was off-line, because this virus is controling my computer and won't let me remove it while I was on-line. :(

hmm, i have pop-up block, but spyware or anti, or spysweap any others i dont, i got warned my norton is about expired need renew is there free one?

FreeWoman77,

Hun What you can do is run a xoftspy, HijackThis, adwares while off-line and it will show you all the threats, then remove them, It should run smoothly for you. ;) If there no threats found, Then you are okay, Must be your Norton, that needs update, No you have to pay for another year.

Afraid not!

I'm using webroot spywares, adwares, avg anti-virus and mircosoft anti-spywares.

Yea.. Don't tell me you think am I NUTS too many protection.. Yes.. I do agreed.. which reason some of company aren't recoglized some of kind virus.. some other company does recoglized the extreme virus.. catch'em.. and delete it.. Depends companies are runs for software.

Btw, nobody perfect but enjoy items what i've got here.. :D

No, You can have as many anti spyware, anti malware, installed. BUT with one exception. You shouldn't have too many antivirus software installed. There is good reason for that. Problem with multiple antivirus software is that running in same resident memory and can stall the process on CPU. They would use same resources and can slow down your PC.

hmmm that's strange because I was told by Best Buy where I brought my virus scanner disk at, the sale man told me never download many protective in your computer because it can cause your PC to run real slow and also it takes too much of your MB of Ram space :dunno:
