I haven't watched all of the 5 episodes I have so far, but when I started watching the first one.. KICKASS! A lot of the effects are in CG/3D and airplane dogfights are mind-blowing!! It is worth downloading and watching it!! I am able to get my hands on subtitled Episodes 1 thru 5. Check it out!! I can't find the English version release info, but as far as I know, it is brand new in Japan. You can check it out at the MACROSS ZERO Official Web Site! Although, I am unable to find a clear explaination of the series' synopsis.
 
That serie hasn't license yet, that's why you couldn't find any English version. I watched that serie a while ago. It is very good... far better than Macross 7. Even though, I am greatly disappointed in Macross 7 serie.

It is best if you people watch the classic Macross first before watch that sequel serie... but you don't have to.. just highly recommended.
 
I think they should start with Macross Zero because it is the prequel to the Macross Legacy, but should keep in mind that the next several series are more classic type of anime. I have Macross Plus.. That one was pretty good, too!
 
Oops. My bad. You are right, it was prequel. Wow, I have to re-watch. Yeah, I love Macross Plus. I even bought it... Dogfights is amazing! Even though some hardcore macross fans dislike it (Macross Plus) :(
