Exactly!!! It shows itself what Obama do in his manner way to accept his knowledge that he made a mistake and offer his apology to her.

I don't remember Bush apologizied for all of their load of mistakes he made for 8 years? Oh yes, I also don´t remember McCain even apologized for his rude behavior toward them...

Reba does have a good point that we do make fun of Palin/McCain a lot more and accept Obama's gaffes.

I have made fun of Palin before, so I will try to look at this gaffe by Obama the same was as I did Palin:

Hahaha! Obama commented on Reagan using a psychic! What an idiot! She never even used a psychic, only a person who uses astrology for predicting the future! TOTALLY DIFFERENT! How can anyone mock a First Lady?? Obama is incredibly disrespectful. Who cares if he apologized? He made the comment in the first place.

Im sorry, I tried, Reba, but the above just doesn't sound right.

I agree, Daredevel.

Obama's comment was pretty insensitive and completely uncalled for.

Hopefully he'll stop and think before making such ridiculous remarks like that again in the future.

Actually, psychics *are* the same as astrologers. They are known as "psychic astrologers," so Obama wasn't *completely* off the mark with his insensitive comment.

I think Liebling is trying to make the comparison that since Bush never apologized for any of the lies he told over the past 8 years, Obama shouldn't be expected to apologize for the remarks he made about Nancy Reagan.

(If I am wrong about that Liebling, please correct me.)

Note: I'm of the opinion that Obama *should have* apologized for his comments. They were insensitive and uncalled for.

*whispers to Hear Again* I used a teeeeny bit of sarcasm in my comment above. :)

Honestly, to me, it's just so much easier to make fun of certain people's actions more than others. I mean how do you make fun of this gaffe? I want someone to make a joke about this. I can't cuz it's really not funny, nor is insensitive enough to make people enraged. Is anyone REALLY pissed off about this? Or thinks its funny?
