Okay, I will answer his question. Should there be a law? Nope. How can anybody legislate something like this? Some older people are doing quite well without much help. Such legislation would impact them adversely and I don't think that is the intent of the law. Just because this lady reacted rather harshly and negatively doesn't make for a clear consensus why she did that. Everybody has bad hair days and maybe this was one for her. Maybe everyday is a bad hair day...
What do want the law to say? Ummm....all 70+ year olds need permission to go anywhere outside their property. They aren't allow to drive anymore and the list goes on and on. So, who is going to get groceries for them? Or take them to the doctor or whatever? Many good intentions go astray and this is one of them.Consider this...As the population ages in most 1st world countries, it is the older ones that will be the most populous and dictate the laws!!!
