Liebling, your bill is CHEAP in Germany because according to your bill that you only pay nearly $700 ANNUAL? Friggin cheap!

I pay avg $150.00 to $180.00 every month. So that's like $1,800.00 to $2,160.00 annual. I live in USA. Electric & Gas in one bill every month so that's how much I pay every month.

Btw, water, sewer, & trash are free in my area. I don't get bill for those. Yay.

Anyway, I use washer & dryer all year around. :)

You talked about how much utility you used for a month but I´m talking about how much $ per kWh for any utility?

I re-check my annual bill and translate and also from € into $ with the help from online convertion.

Electricity:
$0.13 per kWh

4,038 kWh per annual x $0.13 kWh = $524.94

Annual Electricity charge: $93.82

Annual Electricity tax:
4,038 kWh per annual x $0.0258 = $104.18

TOTAL $722.99
16% VAT $155.68

***Total*** $878.67 per annual for electricity...

Water per m3

89 m3 per annual x $3.30 = $293.70

Water charge: $61.80

TOTAL $355.50
7% VAT $ 24.89

***Total*** $380.39 per annual for water...

Sewer per m3

83 m3 per annual x $1.96 = $ 162.68

Sewer charge: $ 72.31 per annual.

Annual Electricity: $878.67
Annual Water: $380.39
Annual Sewer: $162.68

***TOTAL*** $1,421.74 per annual
-$1,509.86 (I paid $137.26 each month up to 11 month)
$88.12 overleft... credit...

I got $88.12 back as credit...

From January 2006 I pay €103 ($129.72) each month up to 11 month for electricty, water and sewage... Wait and see either I get credit or I have to pay extra after end of annual invoice.

Got it?

I think utilitiy in Germany is expensive than your country... :dunno: I need to know how much kWh, m3, etc per utility used in your country. Can you look at your bill how much it cost per KWh..., not how many you used per month but price...

I don´t have gas to heat the water, heater, etc but oil. We ordered 3,000 litres oil for $3,057.77 last year. Depend how many litres, we used for per annual.

I think what Lucia is trying to explain is that you, the renter don't see the cost of the water and sewer in your rent bill, but it is included the cost that the landlord charges you. When your landlord collects the rent, he uses part of that rent money to pay his taxes for the water and sewer that you use. If those services were actually free, the cost of your rent would be reduced. But water and sewer services are NOT free, so the landlord adds that expense to your rent. Most renters don't realize that because they don't get an itemized statement from their landlords showing how the rent money is used.

Yes, it´s true.

Why 2 x "Delivery to you"?

Why many charges in your bill?

Summer block and Winter block? You have to pay charge for that every month?

i remember when i was little my grandmother hang the clothes outside
and my aunt hangs hers as well
and now my aunt don't hang hers since she got brand new washer and dryer
my mom never hangs our clothes since i was little cuz she had both washer and dryer

weird their system..

Yes every monthly payments....

Our bills are including in rent, such as sewer, water, gas and electric. We are nothing to pay in anything but rent because my friend pay it for all of them. We don't have garbage since it's big garbage box in outside but I had walk out and throw the garbage bag in big box. There's no charge for garbage but it was including in taxes or whatever.

$20 for water bills, including sewer? that's so cheaper but my uncle that he from SF area, in suburb and he paid about around $80 or little more than that for water and sewer.

My water bill is small, maybe about 5 bucks for water, about 5 bucks for sewer. Trash is only 3 bucks. That's every month.

I don't have anything to hang my clothes dry like an old days!! :( This apartment already provides a washing and dryer machines...grrrrr!!!! But hey, I love it. They make a job easily for me when I have my hands full! :)

If you are in LA then you will pay more than that but we paid $1,150 per month for one bedroom, with my friend that he's responsible to pay it but not for me because I don't have job right now, just busy at school then I will off school on Thursday and ready for graduation at 12:00 pm on Friday. Our rent cost is including all water, electric, sewer and gas.

No, I live in a house. :)

Anyway, I don't believe landlord is paying for sewer/water/trash because...

there's no water/sewer around here, not on street...nothing -- to measure water & sewer usage, I don't know what it is called. You know round metal thing on street? It doesn't have that around on streets here.

So it is provided by the city.

Yours still cheap compare to us.

but we do not use oil for heat water, heater etc. Some neighbors of ours buy propane gas monthly which it is more expensive than us, we use natural gas for heat water, cooking, washing clothes, heat for winter.

I do not have any laundry machines at home. I have no choice to put all the clothes in the dryer.
