I went to my tune up for my implant last week on thursday. everything was going good until my audilogist was getting worried. She was telling my dad who told me that She was worried that the coil in my implant inside of me would break, and that if i showed any signs which meant if i felt vibrations in my left cheek area, or if my left eye keeps twitching and not stopping, that means the coil has broke inside and i would need another surgery.
BBBBBUUUUUTTTTT....
She hasn't seen any of the signs yet from my implant inside of me. So that is a relief. And she said I would be okay. But if i felt any vibrations in my left upper cheek area on my face, i have to tell my parents immediatly. But Honestly, I don't want to have another surgery just to replace my implant. I have so much good stuff going on right now with band, my love life, and with school. and i don't want a 3 week recovery to heal from my surgery and then having to go to columbus to get turned on for my implant. It's just a pain cuz i been through it once.
But if this ever happens to you, what would you do to advoid all of this to you??

PLUS - the surgery will not take as long and probably not as painful because they ALREADY made the indentations in your skull to place the implant and the holes to feed the array. So the surgeons basically just have to cut a small incision, take out the old one, then place in the new one. Most likely will not take as long, as long as there's no complications with regards of scar tissues or any other issues that you may have had. If you got it years ago, they probably made a huge incision, while nowadays it's unnoticeable behind the ear, and sometimes no need to shave.
