Kerry Kennedy charged in hit-and-run crash - CNN.com


New York (CNN) -- Kerry Kennedy, the daughter of the late Robert F. Kennedy and ex-wife to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, was involved in a hit-and-run incident Friday morning while under the influence of drugs, according to the New York State Police.

"911 calls reported a white vehicle operating in an erratic manner ... that collided with a tractor-trailer," a state police press release said. "The vehicle sustained damage and a flat tire."

Kennedy, 52, was found by state police behind the wheel of her damaged Lexus SUV. "A subsequent investigation found Kennedy to be operating the motor vehicle while her ability was impaired by drugs," police said.

I could say something real smart alecky, like "I guess this runs in the family."

But for the sake of civility, I will refrain.
 
Being from Massachusetts, all I could think of when I saw the headlines is "What is it with this family? These are the people everyone wants to be like?" Glad no one got killed.

The whole Joe Kennedy family needs to run and hide under a ton of rocks.
 
Everybody makes mistakes. The Kennedys are not perfect nor are we. They are not God. I loved JFK and RFK as well as their brother, Ted because they supported minorities including deaf people. In other words, I don't give a fuck about any incidents caused by their families.

So what you are saying is that of I go out and commit crimes against other people but still help the deaf all is forgiven. Right?
 
Actions of the Kennedys shouldn't warrant any more attention than the average Joe living next door to any of us. They are no more or less perfect than anyone else. Shouldn't matter that the Kennedy name is famous and in the public eye.

i liked jfk but he far from being a saint and his dad was diabolical.
i remember the cuba crisis jfk would pressed the button,thank god russia not as trigger happy as jack

Well, it was the Russians who put the missiles into Cuba, aimed at the USA, so that made them the aggressor.
 
one perspective..cuba communist country hardly want american missiles.russia did stand down..i not saying i agree or disagree i just remember as a child my mother being terrified at the time as was many people in europe and america was not comming out of it to well at the time over here
 
i mean america was not looking that good with europeans....it late here and i not thinking to clearly on my history..but che was hero to many over here as was castro
