actually no, a lower court took it to a higher court, the higher court dismissed the charges. Then, a court higher than the judge who dismissed the charges said "Hey! why did you dismiss the charges? bring him back here!"

The lower court wanted to prosecute Assange - that was when he started the leak - not BEFORE the charges were made.

People have it backwards.


Charges were pressed, leak starts. Not, leaks start, charges pressed.

If this was a smear campaign, I am sure we could have done a much better job than "sex by surprise" charges .... I mean, send Biff and Butch to claim they were raped by him .. geez.

not surprising. that way - makes it a lot easier for cops to keep them in jails - no question asked. no scrutiny.

There was plenty of scrutiny in this.

The military is allowed to execute traitors. They haven't done this to Manning. There has been a chance to make sure Assange had a "car accident" but that hasn't happened either.

We are probably protecting him from the Russians ;)
